- Christian WAugust 1, 2012It's much cheaper to take the S-Bahn to the airport, which leaves from the exact same Station every half hour. It is also almost as fast - but you can't check-in in the city.Upvoted Feb 6
- MakarJune 9, 2012Austrian airlines offers promotional codes for those who check-in online & purchase CAT ticket through the site: AUSTRIAN-S (oneway) / AUSTRIAN-R (return ticket). Eligible if you flight with Austrian.
- New entrance due to the finish if the train station/mall. Leaves now at 06/36 every hour. Still the fastest way to the airport for a reasonable price. Check-in for certain airlines is nice too
- Shannon HerlihyAugust 28, 2016You can check in directly for your Austrian Airlines flight here (and check your bags)! So convenient and way easier than doing it at the airport with everyone else.
- If you are really short in money, take an S-Bahn train to the airport. But when you are travelling with massive suitcases, a wheelchair or a pram, CAT is your choice. To save money get a return ticket
- HenriettaJune 26, 2014Check out their website- you can check in your luggage at the city end for a lot of airlines 75min prior to departure. Super comfy. 12e one way
- JohnJune 28, 2019City check-in very handy, but only with ticket. Good, frequent service, but you might as well go with the S7 or the Regionalzug to the airport (destination: Flughafen Wien or Wolfsthal), way cheaper
- Little MissAugust 16, 2014best and fastest way to get to the airport right now. u can shop or have a coffee instead to stuck in the trafficjam.

- Ben Murphy-RyanApril 8, 2022Easier than S bahn or train - Vienna has multiple stations and the Hauptbahnhof is confusingly not the closest to the centre!
- Bruno SousaApril 1, 2013Easy way to/from airport to/from Vienna. Possibly to check-in / drop off luggage and enjoy the city without the luggage before your flight. Free Wi-Fi .
- Trains leave at 06 and 36 - new schedule. By tickets online and apply for CAT membership. You collect points for every ticket and can redeem them for tickets later.
- Also applies to flights with Luxair: Drop-off your luggage in the morning and use the day until departure in the evening...
- Kiara MarchApril 5, 2015Great service. Check in your luggage the night before if you travel the assigned airlines and travel "light" to the airport!!
- Laura HaleDecember 24, 2019€12 one way to airport. Much cheaper than taxi but still feels over priced as only €2,4 in Madrid.
- Matthias BauwMay 13, 2016Don't hesitate this is the fastest and most comfortable way of getting into Vienna
- KellyDecember 12, 2012Sometimes it leaves a bit sooner than the online times, so it's best to leave yourself a five min. window.
- Jack SmithApril 7, 2017Enjoy the peace and quiet of the CAT departure lounge before going down to the platform and boarding the train.
