The clerks here have a real problem with doing their jobs.apparently wanting to refill a metrocard is to much of a hassle for them. Missed 2 trains because of their lazy asses.
The interior stairways are now opened, relieving congestion on the stairs. Now if they can finish working on the exits, it'll be easy getting in and out of the station.
Pause for just a moment and look at the stained glass. It's beautiful.

No weekday downtown service until Oct 11, but weekends are fine (for now) You'll have to take the uptown to Castle Hill & get a downtown there. Or,just walk to the St Lawrence stop, its not far.
I always go to the last cart to get a seat! But cross your fingers cause you never know when the escalator is out of service.
I love parkchester..if people keep saying means things. Its going to hurt people. Don't say means things- I thick Parkchester is the best because, there's more store...bus, train and MORE
Parkchester is not the best but it is sure better than most places in the Bronx.- There are two parkchester stations on here no wonder I keep getting the mayorship taken away from me in a day I'm checking into the wrong place
Adam LisiewskiFebruary 13, 2012Try to play the trains right. Sometimes the express will allow a few locals to pass.- The 2nd round of construction is a-coming. Downtown service closed from July 10 to October 2010. Downtown 6 trains skip Parkchester Station. Fun times for downtown riders...NOT!!!!
Avoid the 6 line between hours of 8am and 9am. although the express train runs its major congestion for no reason. try leave earlier than usual to avoid being late to wherever you are going.
People always handing something out or trying to sell you something
Catch the 6 express downtown in the morning. Gets you to 125th in 20 min, sometimes less
- With construction at St. Lawrence and Elder stations until October 2011 most trains feel like an express train.
If you get to the platform & on the 6 express by 8:00 - 8:05 you can reach 42nd - Grand Central by 8:38am- As of Friday October 7th, there is service on the Downtown platform. Awesome.
I think the current mayor is cheating, how do you steal a mayorship back in one day *side eye*- Just witnessed a bum almost get fucked up on the train for asking for change lol just don't talk on the train
Major construction 'til July '10; no uptown service @ this stop.
