- Fried Hokkien noodles. Serangoon Garden Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodle #01-48 serves it wet (I like!). However the flavours are light. 2 prawns for $4 & lots of taugeh (bean sprouts)

- Duck noodles 2. Heng Wang #01-22, directly opposite popular Seng Heng, is a worthy alternative. Meat was lean & flavourful, chilli packed a garlicky lunch
- Soy sauce chicken noodles. Chicken meat from Hong Kong Soy Sauce Chicken #01-26 was succulent & tasty, although I failed to pick up any overwhelming aroma. The sauce for the noodles was thick though
- Masala dosai. Vegetarian dish freshly made at Al Kamal 01-43. Generous potato-based filling. All their sambhar are savoury but subdued in spiciness
- Roast meats. Average char siew (BBQ pork) & sio bak (roast pork) from. Yong Kee #01-44. Affordable. This 2-meat combo $4
- Learnt a very important lesson - good food at hawker centers close on Mondays. Nonetheless the Traditional Curry Rice (#01-03) was really yummy! Though the curry could be a tad bit thicker.

- The fried bee hoon at 2nd portion of the market is delicious. Do eat more chicken probably one of the nicer in the whole area.
- Breakfast bee hoon. Faith Nasi Lemak #01-30 serves a bland plate. However, fried chicken wing was crispy & savoury. Wd order again. Stir-fried cabbage is very wet
- A very popular hawker centre in this part of Singapore. Lots of stalls serving good-tasting food 👍🏼

- Wantan mee: Fei Zai Xiang Sha Lai Wanton Mee #01-91 can hv a gd thing going, if they figure out their sauce. Mine was dry :-( Saving grace was thick, fatty, char Siew slices. Savoured every bite!
- Bak Kee Satay Beehoon: Uncle merely wipes his hands on a towel then uses his bare hands to pick the ingredients, eww! Not the best satay beehoon I've had either. It's a nay.
- Duck noodles: Seng Heng #01-28. D whiff of d sauce brought me back 2 my childhood. Meat was tender & tasty. Soup was not too thick, not too herbal. We'll b bak 4 more!
- Fried carrot cake. Although tasty, Fu Ming #01-49 uses less eggs. The overall dish is rather oily

- Chendol. Enjoyed a fragrant bowl from Nyonya Chendol #01-57
- Western stall has been here since I was a kid... And I'll never get sick of eating it every once in a while :)
- Fishball noodles. Ru Ji Kitchen #01-25. Predictable goodness from this chain (also @ Old Airport Rd & Holland Drive food centres)
- Fried Hokkien Noodles. Pretty forgettable serving from Zhong Ji #01-73, flavours and aroma
- 實叻園 Shi Le Yuan is awesome for Kway Chap and Pig's Organs soup...
- Traditional Hainanese Curry Rice #01-03 sees regulars. Decent food although no dish stood out for me

- Good carrot cake can be found here. Also fruit juices abound to keep you going against the hot sun.
