This is still the best deal for a banh mi west of the Mississippi. $2.50 for a grilled pork sandwich with all the fixings. Be prepared to wait, as their foot traffic is busy most days/nights.
The best Tofu Banh Mi in the downtown area, maybe inner loop. The other dishes are great so you almost can't go wrong . Pro Tip: ask for extra veggies.

This is MY favorite spot in all Houston for delicious and freshly made Bah Minh (Vietnamese Sandwiches) but they also have a good selection of vermicelli bowls & steaming phos.

Michael CramtonJuly 2, 2011Bun Tom Nuong is excellent. They actually grill the shrimp. Plus homemade lemonade = perfect lunch!- stupid cheap, fresh, fast, and delicious. I hope this place lasts forever.
Warning, pho portions are small. I finish all the noodles in 6 bites. Other than that, the banh mi is divine.- Love this sandwich dive! BBQ Pork sandwich with extra veggeis and jalapenos!

Is there anyone realise that the tofu and meatballs in the sandwiches are not consistent?
The sandwiches, the pho, the spring rolls, and the vermicelli are all on point.
The Bahn Mi's and shrimp spring rolls are yum. I love the sinfully salty shrimp chips too. :-)
