Rob PegoraroMarch 8, 2016They don't take handwritten applications. If you bring one, they'll invite you to do a new app on a PC upstairs for $10, but you can print the same PDF at the Georgetown library (Wisc. & R) for < $1.
Lenny TehJanuary 23, 2019Lines are relatively quick but still advisable to come early. Also make sure to meet all the requirements for applying for visa (see picture).

Simply JoyAugust 14, 2016Visa application form computer filled and printed, passport photo, passport, copy of the passport data page and the itinerary for travel and the (hotel) stay information in China.- Number system isn't working yet so you have to stand in line... Hvac isn't too strong so I'd dress lightly and bring water, snacks, etc
Went on Christmas Eve, small lines, no tickets, was in and out in 25 min. But for such expensive visas, they should at least photocopy for us for free...
Liz FinneganMay 20, 2010Get here early! The average wait time is over an hour. They close VERY promptly at 12:30pm and 3:00pm. Being even a minute late won't get you in! That being said, they are professional and polite.
If you're dropping off your visa application, be sure you're prepared for a long wait.
