- KateNovember 19, 2014I went with my Venezuelan friend on Friday and we were back again on Sunday! We shared the Tequeños and Cachapa and I had the "El Niño" arepa, everything was delicious and very authentic.
- The staff is great and they give you a little arepa with every drink you order. Food is amazing as well! Found this place on accident when it first opened and never stopped going! Xo
- Stefano GuidolinMay 7, 2014I love this place, great venezuelan food!! I feel I have to try all the arepas here, but mains are also good, especially the cachapa!! Also get sangria and yuca fries!!
- Dan LamMarch 23, 2013Moderately priced, but great Venezuelan cuisine. The Arepas are amazing, try the Pernil Arepas, guaranteed to make you cry. Also their fried doughnuts and empanadas are out of this world.
- Rebecca GishkarianyNovember 11, 2014Red sangria is tasty plus they make a good belini. La fresquita is delish. Take advantage of happy hour $5 drinks before 7pm.
- Buthaynah SandersMay 4, 2013Amazing dish. Pabellon Criollo. Shredded beef with rice, black beans and platanos. Worth every cent.
- Yera HaNovember 26, 2014Oh man is this place good. Get the Pabellon Criollo-- a heaping plate of deliciousness and wash it down with red sangria.
- Brittany L.May 12, 2013Red sangria packs a punch. The steak with plantains arepa is not to be missed. Kale salad gives you some greens before meets + corn cakes.
- Kristen HessAugust 3, 2012Try the Arepa Stuffed With Chicken And Peppers - Delish! Had with Watermelon Gazpacho and White Wine! Have great Sangria and Yucca Fries!
- Cate BarrettSeptember 28, 2013Arepas were fantastic. Beautiful brunch in the East village without the stress of huge crowds and exorbitant prices.
- Eric WagnerMay 25, 2013While "grass-fed hanger steak" sounds pretty delicious, the meat in the Del Sur arepa had about the consistency of a rubber band.
- Lindsay DugganMarch 4, 2012Amazing Venezuelan tapas - El nino arepa, Cachapa con pernil and finish it off with the Dulce de lechoza - best dessert!
- Christina VermillionDecember 7, 2013Delicious areas, good sauces and a tasty sangria that wasn't too sweet. Happy with this find.
- Victoria U.September 30, 2013Happy Hour from 4:30-7pm! Beer and wine $5, michelada, sangria, and passion fruit mimosa $7!
- Tim VetterFebruary 15, 2010Arepa con pulpo: Perfect contrast between cool, firm, tangy octopus chunks & warm pliant arepa bun. Also: house red is a very drinkable Mendoza, a steal at $3.50 a glass during Happy Hour
- Brianna KlemmMarch 10, 2013Delicious fresh squeezed juice! Also highly recommend the cheese sticks with guava marmalade.
- Jen KJune 16, 2013Despite what the servers say, the arepas are LARGE! Order two if you're really, really hungry. Otherwise, one is plenty.
- bhimtasticJuly 19, 2013Pork Arepas. Yes yes yes. It's good "we've been drinking and suddenly realized we haven't eaten since breakfast" food.
- JoelMay 29, 2013The space is small and charming, the beer is cold, the arepas are tasty, and the service is friendly!
- Try the slow cooked pork belly. Best Venezuelan food outside of Venezuela!
- Scott KerrMarch 10, 2011The bartender is very nice and the free tapas is a plus. Red Sangria was perfect!
- Best place in NYC for authentic Venezuelan arepas and cachapas!
- Christine Y.May 9, 2013If you feel too claustrophobic eating at Caracas Arepas just a few blocks north, eat here instead.
