The parking lot provides spectacular views of the Los Feliz hills, the east end of the Santa Monica Mountains. The Hollywood Sign is below Mount Lee while the Observatory is below Mount Hollywood.

The line to pay is horrible. No matter what time you come, expect to waste time at the line.
