- Dave McNovember 4, 2017T1 is not as fancy-pants as T2, but I prefer the shorter walks and the smaller crowds make immigration and security lines quicker.
- An international airport that handles 100 million passengers a year, all of whom have to exit through one of TWO customs baggage scanners at any given time (just for show, of course).
- The only airport in the world without convenience stores and fast food restaurants by the gates, only expensive sit-down restaurants, so be sure you bring your own food before going through security!

- There is terminal 1 and 2, both terminals for international and domestic flight. I had better come early because of long queue at security, immigration and security.:.

- PVG T2 is where Cathay located, although the lounge is not as great as you can see from other places. If you are a Chinese citizen, with a new passport, border control is super easy.
- For Asia it's decent. They are improving a lot. Lounge not so good. Highly recommend for cigarettes purchase as it is extremely cheap. Taxis are hard. Pre book car.

- Very very crowded during the spring festival in the business lounge as lots of local travelling. Try to avoid early February.

- The best thing about this place is convenient connection to the city by maglev train @200mph!
- The policy for portable chargers and batteries have become very strict. You can only bring 2 with you and they must be carry-on. Don't attempt to buy a bunch from Taobao as gifts for your friends!
- Be ready when you are to check in, you might get to deal with personnel that speaks neither English or French so better practice your Chinese.

- Erik BernskioldJanuary 29, 2015Clean and easily navigated airport. Great lounge with good food choices! Congestion on the apron can be a bit of a nuisance.
- If you're 5 hours early like I am, check out the Massage spot on the 2nd floor. $25usd per hour. One of the best I've ever had. Im gnna staying till I leave in 4 hours 59 mins!
- M Fadzril FaezOctober 22, 2016Be careful when choosing your next transport to your next destination. An airport shuttle could cost up to RMB650 to go to Shanghai. Choosing local taxis can end you up with a long queue.
