- If you don't want to take a cab to go downtown, you can use the public transportation. It's really cheap - 3,50 RON - and fast. Also, the coffee from Gloria Jean's is the best!Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- Ovidiu ConstantinJune 10, 2013The only safe way to get a taxi is to use the touch terminals on the right side, as you exit the luggage pick up section. You will be able to select company and, more important, price per km.Upvoted Feb 12
- -July 4, 2016A modern and efficient airport. Take 283 bus line to the downtown. Cheap and fast (30 min utmost)
- Glenn StetsonJune 27, 2013I was very surprised at the restaurant scene in Bucharest. They really have a lot of variety and Romanian wine is excellent.
- Ioana BubuJanuary 13, 2018A lot of food and beverage choices while you wait for your flight. Amazing perfume shop located inside the Departures section.
- One of my favourite airports; although rather small, it offers quick services and you can show up later than in others for check-in; decent shop and food choice; decent prices;
- Jon DarveauOctober 15, 2018Arrivals are very chaotic when a flight arrives, other than that though this is an easy to navigate airport with a decent amount of services. Use the taxi request machine though before getting a taxi!
- Volkan TuranOctober 15, 2018Passport control and security lines take too long to wait. Prices are ridicilously high. Toilets and lounges are barely clean. Needs a major renovation, reorganisation and process improvement.
- Taha YildirimMarch 23, 2015Small but efficient. They renewed the airport partially and it is still quite big compared to number of passengers. Have a look at the dead left cars in the airport parking place :)
- It's not a huge airport, so you can move through it fairly quickly. There is free wifi. Don't bother with the duty-free shops. If you're just arriving, go to departures (short walk) for a cab.
- My exp:around 15:00 (flight@18),10min of security check and 10 passport(with a smiling lady). Security:go to the LEFT there is a big area with belts.Passport:go to the end-right, there are more boots
- AyratOctober 30, 2016Souvenirs in duty free shops are much expensive than outside. Magnets start from 5 euro whereas outside can be purchased from 2.5 euro, for example. It goes for all types of souvenirs )
- Very helpful and efficient baggage irregularity office and hopeful they do as promised deliver my delayed bag -not put on at Vienna-to my hotel around 2000 off the next inbound Austrian from Vienna.
- Nora BNovember 15, 2017Surprisingly big airport with loads of shops and places to eat. If you want to sit down stay upstairs though.
- If you want to order an Uber instead of a cab, go to the paypoint at the exit of the parking lot at Arrivals. Your driver will meet you there.
- Emil SenturkAugust 12, 2013Yeni hali cok guzel olmus. Alis veris alanlari dizayniyla Heathrow'u andiriyor. / I like this new style. All replacement of shopping areas seems like Heathrow.
- Augusto SantosAugust 21, 2018bring your own food. drink water before coming. an expresso at Burger King costs 5 US$. Remember it is romania and everything is very cheap. well, not in the airport.
- SnnNovember 7, 2016Use Uber, best way to transportation in Bucharest. And also use Waze app for navigation if you rent a car.
- Alessandra CirilloJune 5, 2016If U want to Buy souvenirs try to have time in bucarest or wherever U go But DON'T think to Buy them in the airport. Outside U can find them 5 time cheeper than here and U can't use LEI only euro 😑
- Eric AndrewsAugust 7, 2018Crowded and the rip-off prices. E.g., bottle of water costs 10 RON while in the city you can get one for 2 RON (5x increase). Ofc tap water from bathroom is not drinkable. WC facilities are dirty too.
- Sinem Eylem ArslanFebruary 4, 2015As every small airport, everywhere is easy to spot and vey well organized. Visit the Duty Free a level below.
- Doru BadetchiMarch 27, 2013Use a free application like would be Star Taxi to call a common taxi, then go to get the confirmation of access to one of the desks of the arrivals hall (taxi company and taxi ID). More useful info: Read more
- Its a big improvement compared with 2 years ago, clean, civilized! Same for toilets, good job, you notice better administration. I didnt like the transport to the airplane, too many people in the bus!
- Janice KarbachinskiyJune 9, 2019There is basically no A/C here, same as the rest of the country... the business lounges are nice but doesn’t accept Priority Pass! Walk to the area of Gate 5 for some calm and comfy place to sit.
- Ehtiram MuzaffarliMay 11, 2014Really helpful staff. But i really scared when i saw the biggest black dog in custom :D And I really appreciated free wi fi. Thank you for this, Romania :-)
- In Your PocketFebruary 13, 2013How to get a taxi: In the arrivals hall you will see a number of self-service ATM-like machines. Simply use one to order a taxi from the company of your choice. Do not pay more than 1.39 lei per km. Read more
- Small airport, very crowded most of the time. As many airports, drinks and snacks are very expensive. After security check you can grab some fast food at normal prices.
- Stacey HollanderMay 7, 2018Parts of the airport were nicely renovated (duty free stores), food halls but some still look pretty commie. Local currency is not accepted at the duty free, so make sure you get rid of it in advance.
- Well run airport. Taxis to city bookable at kiosk to right exiting baggage collection and customs, just before flower shop.
- CryioNovember 27, 2015If your flight doesn't show up on the Flight Boarding Panels, just wait. If your plane is at 17:00 and the last flight on the panel is at 16:50 or 16:55, your flight will appear on it soon enough.
- DO NOT use the exchange in the Departures. Go towards Arrivals, 3 min walk, right on the left after BRD Bank you get a proper rate. As in 5.32RON for 1GBP, compared with 6.03RON/GBP. You do the math.
- Boris BajićOctober 1, 2014Great service, a lot of stores with affordable prices. I'm very positive surprised.
- Lifehack: if you have the time, find the supermarket and get dirty cheap croissants, fruits, beer and other stuff. Difference in price tenfold.
- TEMPO H&R StaffAugust 25, 2012Airport Residences Otopeni is the right place to own an apartment or studio for people working at Henri Coanda Airport. It's even possible to walk. www.airportresidences.ro
- LucieOctober 28, 2016Everything is really overpriced. Wifi only at some places. Signs that water is not drinkable on some places.do they really have more water sources for one airport? Take just 1,39 lei taxis
- ahh! how many times i've been here.feels like my second home.good memories when I first left to go to university🎓nice airport and I enjoy the new wing.nobody goes there and you can go through faster✈
- Victoria OmelianchukNovember 27, 2014very nice breakfast, but no scrambled eggs :) rooms are small, but beds are very comfortable! I enjoyed
- Cojocariu MihaiOctober 15, 2017Not to much you can do. Duty free needs to improve its prices... Go to ground level to buy goods like soda, water, sandwiches (Carrefour supermarket)
- prima filiNovember 22, 2014Free WiFi no questions asked: NICE! Few power sockets though. You'll have to sit on the floor while your device charges.
- If you need a cab (taxi), the best way is to order it from the machine placed at ,,arrives,, area. The cheapest prices are better,it means more serious& honest drivers and of course...the price.
- Allow plenty of time on Sunday afternoons to get through security and passport control. Romania unlike the U.K. checks passports going out of the country.
- Victor SturzeneggerJuly 1, 2017Slowly developing into a better airport. Staff speak some english and services are better. Tip: The only burger king is in this airport in all of Romania.
- Ralitsa IvanovaDecember 4, 2017This is really messy airport. Europecar is the only rental without shuttle bus to car lot! Driving here is also very tricky be careful! Plenty of food places at intl terminals.
- Use the new checkin area located to the left. Avoid queue and enjoy the light (old checkin area is pretty much in the dark)
- Henri Coanda International Airport is Romania’s main airport ,the new terminal is shaped as a violin by an Italian architect specialised in airport design !
- Mo DaoudAugust 30, 2012Best smoking area in the world! Do your check-in, shop around then relax in 1 of those, if you smoke of course :)
