Use the stairs near the Lecture Hall & Dolcini's. Its completely less crowded than the main stairs, yet it only takes you up to the 3rd floor.

Lazy people don't take the elevator if you are just going to the second floor! You hold up everyone else that actually have to go to the 3rd and 4th floor .
