- Elise ❥March 20, 2017Fill your tummy up with many varieties of Dim Sum served in a more traditional style where they allow you to see before you ask for it coz they push the freshly cooked Dim Sum around in push carts
- Discover SingaporeDecember 24, 2011With decor and staff uniforms reminiscent of a 1980's Hong Kong triad film, Red Star is one of Singapore's best known dim sum restaurants. A little overrated, it still deliver good Cantonese cuisine.
- Keith BlodornFebruary 5, 2018Perhaps the oldest dim sum restaurant in Singapore, Red Star has a family run feel, and really good food. Expect to wait for tables on a weekend.
- Miki YeoApril 15, 2018You don't have to overstuff yourself. Push-cart service or you can order from the menu. Good food & top it off with good, friendly service.
- ZDecember 24, 2016Old school place reminiscent of old times wedding dinners and dimsum place. Try the Chee Cheong Fun. Thin and smooth skin and flavourful.
- Missy TeoOctober 27, 2013Not the best dim sum but the best vibe of having one in town. Upon entrance, turn right and along the row of chairs is the que to bring you to reception where someone will seat you.
- EEE NNNAugust 7, 2014One of my favourite place for dimsum. Must order: durian crepe, liu sha bao (salted egg custard bao), chicken feet, pork ribs and egg tart!
- Joo chin TayDecember 31, 2010Love the dim sum here, but hate how some people stall the dim sum trolleys as soon as they come out of the kitchen. Wait your turn please. We are hungry too!
- Leo GohMay 14, 2016Food was normal. There was a lot of filling in the liu sa bao. Chicken banana not bad. The duck with seafood below dish nice. Come early. Crowded after 10am..
- SG FoodTravelNovember 27, 2013The only authentic canton dim sum restaurant. Best in town and Singapore.

- Filiani TendeanAugust 6, 2015Nice and yummy food. But too crowded. However the queue is quite fast and they also have food and fast service.
- Huan Ling YipJune 20, 2011Red Star is a tradition n a history. Not all selection r fantastic, but a generally gd place for old time's sake n family bonding.. Yum cha and sek dim sum, best family moments :)
- Yarn LamNovember 17, 2010The authentic yum cha experience: queue for an hour to get in, order your dim sum from push carts, well worth the wait! The service staff treat you like an old friend.
- KankangOctober 22, 2018A decent and affordable dim sum place up in a HDB 🧐 egg tart a bit too sweet.
- Traditional push cart Dim Sum that's authentic and good.. Beats all other dim sum eateries hands down...
- Karen YapJuly 4, 2021Oldest dim sum restaurant. Very old sch feel! Always wanted to come but long queue. We managed to come During HA2 and only allow 2pax to dine in.
- Jurvis TanJune 29, 2013Fairly little people around on a Saturday (the day I was here at around 1030), can be quite loud like any Dim Sum Restaurant and people can be quite rude to grab the food from the pushcarts.
- P Y WongSeptember 6, 2013Very good traditional Cantonese Dim Sum. Friday morning no crowd can enjoy the food.
- Audrey Meirina-SinggihJuly 16, 2011You MUST try the mango pudding. Been trying mango puddings in different countries and this here is seriously the best!!!!!
- Cheryl Jia LeNovember 9, 2012For those who love traditional dim sum cuisine, its a must to come here!
- Thurayn AungJanuary 17, 2015The food is very delicious. But you will need a lot of patient and guts to order food.
- Si Jin HawJanuary 1, 2014$28++ per pax weekday dim sum buffet. Reasonable price. But service wasn't good. Food taste nice. Overall I will recommend this restaurant.
- Alex TanMarch 14, 2018Had dinner here. Portion is good and food is nice. However they overcharge for a glass of plain water at $1/glass.
- Timor ChanOctober 19, 2013Dim sum was decent but don't expect the service level to be on par with the quality of the food. Can be crowded on weekends. Best to come before 9.30 am.
- Alvin TayJuly 11, 2015Old-school, dimsum on trolly. :) not many like this left in Singapore I think.
- 💗Jojoty💗September 29, 2010Mango sago n mango pudding is below avg... Best food is the fried food... It was so busy that I missed the Chee Chong fun n egg tarts..
- Jowie LokJanuary 19, 2013Food was awesome, many years ago that is, super disappointed with the porridge, instant porridge could taste better! Mango prawn pastry wasn't prawn, was faux crabmeat. Liusabao was plain bad. Badbad!
- John TanFebruary 26, 2011Must go take the Chee cheong fun yourself as the auntie only push her trolley within a small area
- Sin Ping O.June 5, 2019Overpriced and overrated dimsum. Not as good as it used to be. Only prefer prawn fritters, hargao and cha siew bao.
- Andy LimJune 22, 2013So hong kong-ish style.. Running after the cart is really one-in-a-lifetime experience.. :))
- If you are thinking of queuing for some baked Char Siew Buns, you might as well come here for the 叉烧酥 instead..
- Pav KhialaniSeptember 6, 2014Lovely staff and cool looking place but the dim sum was so bad, I had to go somewhere else to get my fix. Only recommend it if your a foreigner.
- Food quality declined. Not so good anymore. But still ok. Not very cheap btw. Eat with caution.
- Chris LuoOctober 2, 2010Good service, good food and good place! Must try the duck and roasted pork meat!
- Abel TeoFebruary 24, 2013They push hard for their 鱼卖 but it's no big deal. The better selection are 排骨, 鲜竹卷。
