We enjoyed the fact that the butter is cold, in the kaya toast served by 133 Traditional Coffee & Toast (#01-33). Melts in mouth!

Breakfast bee hoon. 泉 Economical Bee Hoon #01-21 serves it steaming hot! Optional vege curry. Stir-fried cabbage was soft to chew. Fried chicken wing ugly but flavourful 😬

Wanton Mee: Between Kim Kee and Tanjong Rhu Wanton Mee, my vote goes to Kim Kee. The springy noodles, ketchup sauce and soup are their winning points.

Kim Kee (Coffee Shop) Tanjong Rhu Wanton Mee @ #01-18: The only stall that has got queue during weekday lunch, delicious meaty wanton & soup, but noodle with ketchup+chilli sauce tasted so-so.

I personally prefer #01-18 wanton for the al dente noodle and the spicy and flavourful chill. Highly recommended. Of course, if queuing is not your preference , I guess #01-35 is a good alternative.

Wantan mee: Tried both A #01-18 & B #01-35 (both claim same famous Blk 7 pedigree). Both equally tasty silky wantans (dumplings). A sweeter, B saltier. A's charsiew slices thin, B's dry. Order both!

Hidden in the heart of the estate, it's pretty hard to find. Postal code 432004, you got a GPS, right? =p

Chicken rice from Chicken King #01-28 is decent. Meat was uniformly cooked but lacked fragrance. Rice was garlicky. Soup was lightly herbal. Chilli sauce packed a punch!

Not much weekdays lunch crowd, strong wind from low ceiling fans, decent choices of local food & variety of toast for kopi break.
