Their deli sandwiches are so good that when I bit into mine the only thing I could do was hold my sandwich up in the air and yell DAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the worst Safeways in DC. Always understaffed at registers. Produce is mediocre at best. If you have to go, best times are Saturday after 7pm or early in the morning.

Take your $ elsewhere!- Even though they are theoretically still open, their doors are closed and you have to go in the out door after 10 p.m. Real stupid, going elsewhere
Always check your receipt especially if using digital coupons. Things frequently ring up incorrectly. Slow lines.
No matter what time I come here, there are never enough lines open

Seriously, the worst grocery store I've ever been to as far as time spent in line goes. Go to Harris teeter on Potomac ave. to save time.

Grocery store hell. Despite having 10 lines, only three are ever open, takes forever.
Not as bad as other tips might imply, but not that great either.
Carts are notoriously awful but it looks like they got a bunch of new ones finally.
