it's almost as if the staff waits for you to start your set as they ask if the dumbbells at your feet are being used. Obviously, customer service is not a strong point at this location
Lots of these tips are from the old location. The new LA fitness sport is across the street, much more modern and nice! They sucker you into spending thousands, then you are at their mercy for appointments, and their only real interest is in signing you up for more!- The good news is that they clean the cardio equipment regularly. The bad news is that they clean it while you're still using it.
The gym is nice, many classes at different times of the day. Also has a Kids Club. Unfortunately the sales /membership people are quite rude & pushy.
When I started here, I was disappointed. But a few months on, I think they are getting their crap together. So long as peak times are avoided you can get a decent workout in. Friendliness improving!- I agree this is not one of the better LA Fitness locations. I come here when I need to get in a quick workout and don't even go into the locker room, sauna, steam room etc., which are old and moldy.
- The dumbbells are all scattered and misplaced... and I'm not just talking about the trainers.
Updated machines that actually work. Friendly staff. Get your abs here. $25 month. No I don’t work here I just enjoy working out.

Geelo ToopNovember 27, 2013The day they learn how to professionally talk to people over the phone is the day I'll come check it out..- Beware of idiots in the sauna chewing gum loudly, standing on the benches with sneakers while stretching & grunting. People playing (c)rap music on their iPods out loud. And this guy... He's a douche.
Sign up w someone and add them to your plan for an extra $39 rather than two full-price memberships.- Check out the new exercise equipment, a lot of the equipment have built-in television!
- Good News: Free Towel Service. Bad News: No Towels Ever.

Don't put friends on a VIP list the salesmen will call them nonstop and do anything to get them in. Save who you can
Don't waste your money. Never have towels. They make you wait 20 minutes to get a towel and they run out in 10 minutes. Customer service is also terrible. I'm stuck here for another year :(
Seriously why are personal trainers in this gym so cocky and arrogant!?!?- Don't bother asking for towels, you'll get an attitude and told that "they'll be available in like 5 minutes..." Perpetually.
