- Emily WilsonNovember 17, 2017Get over the pistachio escargot hype because there are better moves to make here. Try the sacristain (long croissant-like pastry filled with sweet egg custard), and the brioche with marron.
- Definitely try the "Escargot fruits rouge bio & cream cheese", it's a fantastic blend of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries with cream cheese! Sweet and sour 😋 My favourite breakfast!
- Limonova MariaFebruary 22, 2018My favorite bun with barriers and cheese, delicious and not too sweet like most of the desserts in Paris My boyfriend loves with pistachio & chocolate 😋 They have a lot of interesting bread in here
- Avneesh KohliSeptember 4, 2018You’ll ask yourself how good could these croissants and pastries really be. And then you’ll have them and be amazed.
- Tobias GrönbergDecember 16, 2014Traditional bakery with maybe not the most perfect looking pastries but definitely the most tasty ones you will ever taste! They use organic ingredients, very good!
- Ali RobertsonJanuary 14, 2020The rumours are true! The pistachio and chocolate snail is faultless, to devour one actually brings you true happiness! Coffee is ok but that’s not what you come here for! 💌
- Maina KhojaApril 26, 2018Savories r sooo good, I like their apple pies, their pistachio and chocolate escargots crunchy and not overly sweet, the cream and berries is a bit soggy!
- Zara KhanFebruary 24, 2020Escargot: A Flakey, chewy and delicious pastry with pistachios. Definitely worth making the trip. Small bakery, populated, benches outside to sit on.
- Christian PolidoroNovember 12, 2018A few locals told us this was the best baker in Paris. The pistachio and chocolate escargot was amazing.
- Jerome IbanezNovember 27, 2017People say that they have the best croissants in Paris but I can argue that I've tasted better. What is amazing, however, are their "escargots"(no, they're not really snails).
- ZiriadFebruary 7, 2015It's simply the best bread money can buy in Paris, same goes for viennoiserie. The taste is authentic with stellar quality. A true Parisian experience! Try "Pain Des Amis", you will feel home.
- Olga VelaSeptember 6, 2016the sacristan is delicious and beautiful the croissant is buttery and flavorfoul , the escargot with berries is really good , chocolatin a must
- The Wall Street JournalAugust 3, 2014It's acquired a cult following for its bread—try the thick-crusted pain des amis—and fluffy, crispy-tailed croissants. For a perfect breakfast, pick up a couple and head over to Ten Belles. Read more
- My favourite boulangerie, for which I woke up at 5:30am every morning and travelled all the way from Opera (twice by foot)! Found out about it via Instagram 👍
- Vishal PatelMay 3, 2015Everything is amazing here. Make sure you try the pistachio escargot pastry. There's no snail in it, just shaped in a spiral. Best pastry I've ever had. They don't speak any English.
- Escargot fruits rouge bio & cream cheese is the best, it's even priced higher at €3.3 vs €2.8 for other escargots. Come earlier as it is finished by 8am 😱
- Escargot aux pralines is my second favourite, then comes the Escargot citron nougat. Didn't quite like the Escargot chocolat pistache tough or perhaps I was already full having tried too many 🙊
- The Wall Street JournalAugust 3, 2014Don't leave without one of Mr. Vasseur's apple tartlettes—a fine fan of sliced apple spread atop a smear of deeply reduced apple compote on a disk of crunchy pastry. Read more
- Önder BingölApril 11, 2017Escargot pistache chocolate is out of this world. Red fruits and cream cheese is almost as good.
- Elizabeth LeeNovember 19, 2014Lots of "rings of wheat" awards and they are well-deserved. Go for the escargot pastry and apple tart. You will be thankful to the pastry gods.
- Rick PMarch 13, 2018mini-pavés (small, doughy breads in the shape of a cobblestone that are often filled with cheese, veggies or other savory ingredients), and the pinwheel-shaped chocolate-pistachio escargot pastries.
- MarvinMay 10, 2019The lines here can be incredibly long. If you're out of time or want to visit a shop with a more modern aesthetic, check out Liberte just one block over.
- The best viennoiseries in Paris, and probably the world.
- Tatyana BunakovaOctober 10, 2018Best croissants I’ve ever tried. Also try escargot with fruits rouges and cream cheese.
- Lori OhJanuary 9, 2018It’s good but I feel like it you’re going for something that is REALLY good and classic French bread-goodness, you don’t come here, you go to somewhere like Liberté (which I adore :) ). Too much hype!
- EdnaJuly 8, 2015Perfect for picnicking along the canal! Grab an escargot chocolat pistache for dessert
- David BelloFebruary 16, 2018Fantastic the hype is real! I wasn't expecting the coffee to be so food however :)
- Tudor LeuAugust 26, 2014Everything looks amazing, but like most people I'd recommend the escargot. Also, the lard bread, though I don't know how it's called in French.
- Nattanan ArriyavatJune 28, 2017Go for Raspberry escargot.. sometimes there is a long line but it is worth the wait!
- Simon OpsomerMarch 13, 2022Nice pastries but all in all quite expensive when compared to other places. Come early to avoid the long queue.
- Bobby SolomonJuly 17, 2015If you only eat one croissant…!!!… Also this area by the Canal Saint Martin is super hip and good to walk around.

- Stephanie KleinJune 9, 2017THE PLACE TO GO for croissant, for pistachio chocolate escargot, for homemade everything!
- RosalineFebruary 5, 2015Come here if you are in the area to try their famous escargots. My favorite was the sacristain, otherwise my mind was not blown.
- BommyJuly 1, 2018Overhyped. L’escargot pistache chocolat is good but so sweet. Praline escargot might be better.
- Kevin NgApril 6, 2019I saved my body for this patisserie and did not regret the five day wait. Heaven.
- Renaissance HotelsMay 29, 2012Brave the line for the “escargot chocolat-pistache” a tiny, exquisite pastry with a snail-shell swirl of chocolate and pistachio. For more local tips, follow us on 4sq or check out www.renhotels.com.
