Some terrific reading and conference spaces on the recently renovated first floor.
With the renovations, there are more places to connect your laptop. Look around! Especially downstairs :)
The "Captain" chairs in the 1st floor Reading Room are very comfortable and perfect for a quick nap.
Fifth floor is great but look out for occasional stressed-out grad students about to lose their marbles from the pressure.
You can reserve study rooms for up to 4 hrs (only 2 hrs max at the research common pods)!- The library of choice for graduate students. Much quieter than Powell.
The renovated first floor is nice and all but it's usually packed on weekdays. The upper levels are kinda ugly but I get better study sessions there.
Look out for the guy in the hat and beard and sunglasses. He usually is on the 5th floor and WILL talk to you about aliens.
