Jake SmithJuly 7, 2015You can't beat the atmosphere or the prices. If this is the oldest bar in Amsterdam, they must have kept their prices the same since 1550, because €2 for a beer is absurd in 2015.
FelipeApril 6, 2014Oldest bar in Amsterdam, since 1550. The different selection of beer from the tap is simply fantastic. From Palm Royale to La Trappe double, you can't go wrong with your choice. Nice staff.
Susan YAugust 6, 2019You have to visit while in Amsterdam- one of the oldest pubs built in 1519. Called the “Monkey Bar” as sailors used to pay with monkeys!!

ArnoldJanuary 23, 2013Oorspronkelijk heeft Amsterdam vol gestaan met houten huizen. Van deze houten huizen is praktisch niets overgebleven. A'dam heeft nog maar 2 houten huizen: Begijnhof 34 (±1425) & 't Aepjen uit ±1550
