Mike PonciMay 26, 2013Hide behind a pillar or in the stairwell till your train arrives. Leveled with the street, a passerby may ask you for change. Not a big deal, but I was asked thrice in 30min. Not cool.
MaggieJuly 14, 2012The gap was a whole foot away from the platform. BE CAREFUL. and you have to cross the street to get to the L train. Took me a while to figure out how to gtfo of the station itself.
Be careful in this area! Not the best place to be alone!!!!
There is a crosswalk between the LIRR East New York Station and the MTA - Atlantic Station (L). Use it to navigate traffic.

This train station looks like the route the WARRIORS took to get back to Coney Island...Straight Old School NYC
No station agent, to save money use ticket machine located on Eastbound platform.
