- TingJanuary 7, 2015Do not miss the traditional dessert stall Xi Le Ting (喜乐亭). Aunty,although looks stern serves up 4 delectable local soupbased hot desserts. Love the 大麦粥 and Cheng Tng. Hard to beat.
- Traditional desserts: Xi Le Ting #02-70 is run by an elderly lady, who prepares & serves ONLY 4 warm items: cheng tng, red bean soup, green bean soup, & tua bek (white oats). Simple & nostalgic :-)
- Roasted chicken rice. Henry’s Chicken Rice #02-84 sees long queues during lunchtime. Roasted skin was tasty & fragrant, meat was relatively moist. Served with a bowl of soup. This plate $2.50

- Braised duck ($4, braised egg +$0.80). Chinatown Ah Po Braised Duck #02-95 serves their plate with a sprinkle of sesame oil. Meat was lean, could be juicier. Gravy was thick & flavourful
- Dumpling noodles. Enjoyed a bowl from Man Tian Xiang #02-96. Clean flavours. Chewy noodles. Freshly made pork dumplings. Simple pleasures. $4

- Wantan noodles: It's final: Hao Hao #02-83 is d tastier WTM than Jian Kang #02-77. Noodles r more q, wantan succulent. Jian Kang's char siew is nicer, but overall package, incl d mid-air flip, won it!
- Kaya toast breakfast set. Unimpressed with the offering from 101 coffee stall #02-101. Kaya tasted processed. Kopi tasted diluted despite ordering (& confirming) 'di lok' (espresso)
- Sugarcane juice. Refreshing on hot days. Find this from Fresh Juice Corner #02-79. This cup $1.50

- Excellent chicken rice by Henry's. Pork porridge with century egg is reasonably priced too & is chockful with ingredients. Good yong tau foo stall as well.

- Roasted meats: Seng Kee #02-78 sold me d toughest char siew & roast duck ever. The meat were too hard to even chew! :-(
- ATM: OCBC & POSB ATMs in the middle of the wet market on he ground floor. There's an AXS terminal too
- Carrot cake good. Other than that the drink stall aunties are really goddamn kiasu
- Very cosy hawker with old neighbourhood feel. Look out for Hong kee porridge and old school dessert soup stalls.

- There's a POSB ATM & an AXS machine (to pay bills, perform gov transactions, etc) on level 1 where the wet market is

- Try this porridge! Best in town! Been having it for 10 yrs now... Good as ever!
