- Char kway teow (fried flat rice noodles). Believe the accolades; Hai Kee Teochew Cha Kuay Teow #01-102 serves up an authentic plate. Not overly wet, generous with ingredients, lots of aroma
- Mi chiam kueh (local pancake). Uncle Lim Traditional Pancake #01-120 has a recipe that leaves edges very crispy. Fillings options: ground peanut, grated coconut, tau sar (red bean paste) & cheese
- Soy sauce chicken noodles: Locals patiently wait for their bowl fr Uncle Lee's #01-127. Succulent fragrant chicken cuts accompany 'q' noodles. Stall also sells WTM, beef brisket & stewed chicken feet
- Rice porridge. Tasty bowl from Xiang Ji Porridge 01-98. Don't need to add anymore light soy sauce. Lots of options (pork, fish, century egg, pig liver, chicken)
- Malay Nasi Lemak. Enjoyed the chilli from Labrador Malay Stall #01-105; not excessively thick yet spicy sweet. Fried chicken meat was lean & well-marinated
- HerWorldPlus recommends: Hai Kee Teochew Char Kway Teow #102, home-cooked curry rice fr Nan Fang Cooked Food #80, Sampan porridge & boneless fried chicken wings fr Fei Lou Porridge #116

- Find of d month. Tks to 4SQ friend Songhua, discovered genuine handmade fishball noodle stall. Fishballs was super bouncy & chewy, noodles 'q', & soup light & clean. Deserves spot as top 10 in SG
- Uncle Lee's Hong Kong Noodle & Rice stall at 01-127 closes on Wednesday and Thursday. Good chicken rice or noodles.
- Local kopi. After sampling fr a few stalls, my vote goes to Soon Huat #01-106 for smooth bitter kopi. Fragrant, w/o any of that musty coffee bag smell u get fr many others
- Fishball noodles. Solid offering from Song Heng #01-124. Chewy/bouncy handmade fishballs, tasty soup. Fried lard-infused oil added aroma
- Boneless fried chicken wings. I wouldn’t queue up again at Fei Lou Porridge 01-116. Non-existent marinate, forgettable batter. Novelty was the boneless bit. Chilli dip was nice though
- The Thai stall bring mentioned several times is Monkey Thai Seafood. They have shifted to #02-07 Mei Chin Food Centre

- Fishball noodles: Hua Fa #01-97 serves a delicious bowl but uses a lot of oil. So let them know early...
- Guan Seng Carrot Cake a must try. For chilli lovers the chilli used is hand made and spicy.
- Decent Kway Chap & braised duck wings. I asked them to omit all pig's spare part.
- B LJuly 26, 2012New porridge stall 香記粥品 no standard. Watery porridge with lumps of 'rice cake'. Pork meat is seasoned though.
- Mas seafood is great, but don't catch them at peak hour as they get orders wrong & have bad service. The roast meat stall 2nd row from right, queenstown char kuay teow & ruyi vegeterian stall are :)
