- cnelson ︻╦╤─October 25, 2014Crab and Pork soup dumplings! To eat: place dumpling on soup spoon. Poke hole in top with chopstick. Wait for steam to escape. Use spoon to put whole dumpling in mouth. Enjoy!
- Bunny BrooksAugust 18, 2017These dumplings are amazing. Light, full of flavor and 10 dumplings in an order! Will definitely be going again. Anxious to try other things on the menu.
- Shanghai-style pork soup dumplings, pan-fried potstickers, and the garlic bok choy are all yummy. And the hot chili oil makes everything better.
- Daniel GraysonJune 2, 2019The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) and the Shanghai style fried dumplings (with the fried bottoms and steamed tops) are very good, and match well the many Shanghainese staples on the menu.
- Jose PalomaresOctober 19, 2019Our food was great. We had soup dumplings, pot stickers, pea sprouts, ma po tofu, and pan fried pork buns. It was all very good, in particular the soup dumplings and the pork buns. Yummy!
- Johnny AppleseedJanuary 18, 2016Dumpling Kitchen is a great place for Dim-Sum from the menu. Wide variety of food choices with almost no wait. Better alternative to Hong Kong Lounge II and less expensive! Try the Shanghai Dumpling!
- Grace S.September 11, 2015Pork and crab XLB, pork and chive dumplings!! Green onion pancake was good. Won't order the pan-fried pork dumplings again - a little too breaded and swt for me but good to share with a group.
- Good pea sprouts. They serve their soup dumplings warm, not hot, so they end up getting soggy. Thick skin too. Note to self - don't need to trek all the way here anymore.
- Jeff WeinsteinJanuary 2, 2014Soup dumplings, spicy tofu, spinach dumplings, string beans and tsing tao. Reservations are helpful. Not fancy, lots of local families. Great for a group.
- LanOctober 20, 2015Must order: steamed pork dumplings (xiao long bao), pan fried pork bun, wontons in chili oil
- Steve GrantMarch 9, 2018Soup dumplings, garlic long beans, did I mention dumplings,?simply fantastic!
- ૮( ⚈້͡ ໋͈ ૈ ꈊ ⚈້͡ ໋͈ ૈ)ა .December 21, 2014The pan fried pork dumplings were the best thing we ordered. Braised pork belly & wonton soup were underwhelming. Sadly, the XLB, while the actual soup inside was tasty, was also disappointing. Pass.
- Sean HowellFebruary 20, 2023Wow. Shocked. New owners. Even better. Maybe the best soup dumplings in the city. Thin skins and lots of soup.
- Alden CatesJanuary 6, 2017Shanghai style fried dumplings are so delicious (better than the soup dumplings.)
- Darryl MorrisJuly 5, 2012I had their pork dumplings and pot stickers, which were outstanding! It's easy to get to via MUNI Metro's L Taraval line from downtown San Francisco.
- Jack BowenAugust 15, 2014Pork dumplings, potstickers, sweet and sour chicken, and steamed garlic pea sprouts every time... Trust me
- Frederic BarthelemyJanuary 27, 2020If you want to taste more of the menu, bring more people! (Some of the orders are large!)
- Definitely get like 2-3 orders of the Shanghai soup dumplings. Don't get the green onion pancake.
- @SDWIFEYAugust 27, 2017The Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Veggies is good if you are looking for a little change. Comes in a ring of Bok Choy! #SFeats
- Diana ArzJanuary 20, 2018Overall it wasn’t impressive. I wish the noodles had more char, the wonton in chili oil were very bland, the pan fried pork buns were pretty good. Cash only 😕.
- Authentic Shanghainese food. It's all good, but one of my secret faves is the cucumber appetizer.
- Ariel SpearDecember 24, 2016Amazing soup dumplings, soymilk and noodles. Everything here is amazing and really well made.
- Brandon M.November 30, 2014Maybe not at DTF level just yet, but their pre-wired soy-ginger sauce is a great complement to some delicious dumplings
- Get the shanghai steamed soup dumplings and the beijing dumplings. Wasted trip if you don't get those. Trust me.
- Sherilynn MacaleMay 23, 2011For about $30, you can get like 4 plates of a MILLION dumplings. Omg. So good! And cheap, wow! Great alternative to sushi.
- Winson WongJanuary 24, 2016Sigh, I had high hopes but the food just wasn't that great. The XLB were fine but lacked flavor. The rest of the food was very average sadly. Noodles were soggy and the food was bland in general.
- Soup dumplings, green onion pancakes, egg puffs, friendly service
- Mary XAugust 7, 2013Walnut shrimp disappointed (too much lemon flavor), but xiao lon bao were delicious!
- Kristine YuenFebruary 17, 2018The dumplings are great, I would skip the noodle dishes and other things.
- Victor LowMay 26, 2014Dumplings. Get the dumplings. Commit to the dumplings. Embrace the dumplings with open arms.
