- Manuel VillasmilNovember 3, 2016Went for lunch and had an amazing Latino experience, friendly staff, clean place, not the best location, cheap and salsa as soundtrack. We tried Vaca Frita, Ropa Vieja, Hígado and Flan for dessert.
- Houston PressAugust 12, 2014This home-style Cuban cooking features some noteworthy fish, but the standouts are dishes like ethereal fried pork chunks, picadillo, breaded steak, yucca with garlic sauce, black beans and rice. Read more
- Allen ArcadeJanuary 20, 2013Get the Carnaval Cubano. It has shredded beef, fried pork chunks (carnitas) and round roast stuffed with sausage. Flanked by yuca with garlic sauce and congri (mixed rice with ham bits).
- Allen ArcadeJanuary 20, 2013The La Rumba has shredded beef, oven roasted pork and Cuban ground beef (OMG good) with your choice of sides. Lots of food and some unique flavors.
- Allen ArcadeJanuary 20, 2013Read the other comments about service. They are unfortunately true. Great food but you need the patience for the slow paced / low staff that is Cafe Piquet. They fix problems quickly though.
- Cafe Piquet has some of the best Cuban food on This side of the equator... I love everything there, especially the Pargo con frijoles negros y tostones!
- Ken AOctober 27, 2012What more can I say? Read the previous 11 tips. The wait staff were great. Made me drink more than I really wanted but I enjoyed myself. Will return next week with the rest of the guys.
- Everything especially the ropa vieja, pernil, maduro, and the guanabana with milk shake.
- Allen ArcadeAugust 5, 2010Amazing food. Avoid things you can get anywhere else like pork chops. DO get authentic dishes like the Garlic Pork or others with fish. The flan is awesomely heavy. Split it with a friend.
- Angelina KonahaMarch 5, 2014Food is awesome and authentic. I prefer this establishment and staff had excellent customer service. Restaurant was clean.
- The manager, Andrea, has turned this place round. Food has always been amazing but the wait staff was terrible. Now they have great waiters and amazing food :-D
- Las masitas are terrific! And the plantains are always super yummy.
- Ms. Damaris ENovember 2, 2014The shrimp in garlic sauce, the fufu with shrimp and the flan are great!!
- Try the Pernil Asado or the Ropa Vieja. Enough for a food coma! Order some Mariquitas and Sangria while waiting for your food.
- John SanchezOctober 31, 2010If you love the consistency of creme brûlée you'll love their flan. It's a creamy explosion of flavor!
- Allen ArcadeMay 15, 2011This is another variety platter with empanadas and assorted fried/baked Cuban specialities.
- Allen ArcadeMay 15, 2011If you don't know what to order, try #23 or #24 for their variety dinner platters.
- Mercedes PangSeptember 14, 2011their service sucks, and the fish is mediocre. my boyfriend loved his pork dish though!
- Misha GovshteynMarch 30, 2015Bistec empanizado - like a chicken fried steak, but better. Much better.
