I always go mid-week and it's a pretty pleasant experience. The seats are comfy and the screen and sound quality is excellent. A little overpriced but then so is everywhere in London.
Local cinema for North Londoners, in the N1 Islington Shopping Centre, a few minutes walk from Angel Station. Plenty of cubicles for the Ladies in the large foyer.
Decent cinema within the shopping centre. Easy to find food and beverages outside before you go in and often not very busy. They do live opera screenings here!
Go for the Vue Xtreme screenings if you can: much larger theatres than the standard small halls. No wifi, usually bad reception inside which can be a boon and a curse.
When buying popcorn, get the £2 Kids meal... Decent popcorn amount, a drink AND Haribo! Which would otherwise set you back £10... Theres no sharing though which is kinda a bummer
Avoid the expensivesnack counter and get a hot dog for a third of the price from the vendor outside. Or, better yet, go to a better cinema and eat real food.
Get your movie by interrupted by annoying kids while the staff sit back and nothing and allow kids to sit in VIP seats while you pay a fortune for them!
This is the worst cinema by far! The manager doesn't know how to manage. The screens are not supervised. The lights remain on during the film. It's best to watch a film in your living room.
I've realised after coming for year that this cinema is actually awful! The service is awful, they don't take American Express and the toilets are disgusting...definitely go elsewhere if you can.
Don't go, is very bad cinema: can hear blow dryer from toilet during movie, brightness of movie changed multiple times, didn't fully turn the lights off!
