Great place to chill out in the shade. Pull up a seat in front of the historical video presentation. PLUS there's a restroom with 3 toilets (!), and bubblers to fill up your water bottle for free!

Very cool (and at least on my visit - quiet) piece of history in the middle of an uber touristy area. Learn all about these ship's histories while enjoying great bay views.

The park is well-maintained and run by very friendly Rangers. The old bath house building is the best place to start your park visit.

Beautiful end to the piers and transition to a park area with good views of historic sailing ships and a Steam Boat. Also a cable train station nearby.

Watch the cool video in the visitor's center on the history of the harbor. It is shown on a cool mini-Imax type screen.

The place to take your girl for a walk in the sunset. Cold but, that's part of the magic.

Visiting Hyde Street Pier is the absolute best way to get acquainted with the history of San Francisco. After walking the pier, walk across the street to the Argonaut Hotel and Visit the museum!

Take a ride on the cable car if you're a tourist. Otherwise, save your $5 and take the Muni for $2 a block away.
