- Breakfast fried bee hoon. Predictably tasty from this Hup Lee outlet. The kitchen here fries the bee hoon oily. Fried chicken wing has crispy batter. Base price of bee hoon now $1.20. This costs $3.10
- Besides the 'chai tow kway' (fried carrot cake) & chicken rice, the fishball noodle is pretty good too (albeit salty)

- Their kaya toast here uses sandwich bread, instead of the traditional ones
- Nice wat tan hor from Zhi char stall here. Try their fried beef kway teow too (dry).
- Kopi is bitter but lacks aroma. Ordered Kopi-O kosong ‘di lok’ (undiluted, $1.20) to test, but cuppa was not thick
- The carrot cake here is amongst the best in Singapore. Get into it.
- Prata not happening. The dough fr my egg-onion combo tasted not completely cooked. Vege curry was decent though
- Most stalls generally good here. Noteworthy is the fried carrot cake, and mee pok/ kway yeow at noodles stall.
- Never ever touch the economic bee hoon and zhi char. Full of regrets.
- Sour plum drink here is the bomb! V refreshing- works to quench thirst both on hot / cold days:)
- The Western food here is not bad. Carrot cake is quite famous.
