Make sure you enter through the old building... The mural in the rotunda is an Art Deco masterpiece.

Go like a pro, save time and money. Skip the taxi and hop the M60 bus ($2.25 w/ a metro card) to Astoria Blvd. Free transfer up the stairs to the N/Q train. You'll be anywhere in midtown in ~ 45 mins.

Both the exterior and interior were designated as landmarks in 1980 including a polychromatic terra-cotta frieze of flying fish and central rotunda encircled by a sprawling mural by James Brooks.

You can get here 20 minutes before your flight yet still be on time. Not advisable, but it's a super quick security line because of all of the business travelers.

Enjoy the Marine Terminal while you can. The FAA recently approved the DL-US route swap, and the two airlines are swapping their terminals @ LGA too. Soon this will be USAir shuttle flights.

Picking up a rental car with Hertz? Don’t follow signs for Rental Car shuttle, instead turn right when you’re exit and walk over here:

A very small and thus low key terminal. Security is pretty quick and there’s plenty of places to sit

The Marine Air Terminal is the best! It's like a small-town airport. Never any wait at security.

Best way to fly in and out of new york. It's like a small town airport (if that small town was mostly populated by rich business folks).

My favorite terminal at LGA. As of Dec 2017 Delta no longer flying in and out of it. I hope it doesn’t get demolished.

The cafe charges double for food. 2.75 for a regular coffee probably Folgers, 11 dollars for a tiny ass sandwich and sprinkle of chips.Scrapings size of chicken on the sandwich was what set me off.

Coffee and juice are free at this terminal at the table near the windows. Nonetheless, it is horrible coffee.

if youd flight is arriving into this terminal, call a uber instead of waiting on a taxi. Even though they occasionally have an attendant they still have a hard time getting open cabs here quickly

If you've got time - check out the retro cafeteria to the left of check-in (down the hall in the atrium). It's cheap + greasy -- and completely delightful.
