This is the best Czech cuisine around within a backpacker's price range. They have two separate bars - if you step into the right door, you can sit outside and get a craft beer with your meal.

Traditional Czech cuisine. Very good quality food and beer for absolutely affordable prices. Recommended for tourists who want to try the Czech food for a good price. Baked duck is the hidden gem!

I prefer the pub with the Pilsner Urquell on the corner to their own brewery next door. Anyway, both are superior & both serve the roasted duck, that is splendid!

The kind of place many of Prague’s retro-modern eateries have sought to emulate, serving timeless pub classics and a delicious, unconscionably cheap duck confit. Authentic to a fault.

A classic place in Nusle. Traditional pub with excellent Pilsner Urquell on tap, and with hearty (and cheap) Czech cuisine. The less fancy, the more local and traditional!

WHY THERE: traditional pub/tavern DISHES: appropriate, if you're into Czech cuisine BEER: not so wide selection, but ok LOCATION: outta mainstream (relatively convenient) PRICES: average (reasonable)

Good in-house brewed beer, drinking the dark stout is like getting a half-liter black espresso, no sugar. Local meat patés or duck liver spread are great with it.
