Max's Wine Dive owes its name to the combination of a terrific Texas "dive" menu with chili dogs & mussels steamed in Lone Star beer, & an innovative wine list that's ahead of the rest of the city. Read more

Their french toast has to be some of the best french toast I've ever had! The batter is so sweet, you don't even need syrup! Oh, and the fried chicken definitely lived up to the hype!

Their Elote Loco is our favorite. Buttery corn kernels are layered with Valentina aioli, cotija cheese, chili powder and lime juice in a glass. You will see corn in a whole new light. Read more

Don't get me wrong, the chicken everyone talks about is solid/legit. It was fresh and juicy. But this dish is vastly overrated and typical. Want yummy? Try Pollo Campero right across the street.

At Max's Wine Dive, the chicken requires a 36-hour buttermilk marinade that helps tenderize the bird. But, in this case, the marinade doesn't stop at just buttermilk. Read more

Disregard the lying hostess and insist on a table you prefer if she sends you to the back or close to the restrooms, she is unprofessional but the fried chicken is excellent.

Good food, but was really disappointed with the server and manager. I had asked them to save my payment on file so the bill could be taken care of in advance, but apparently it was forgotten about.

While the Mac and cheese was fantastic, the chicken and fish and chips were truly sub par. It is way overpriced for what it is. I will admit it has a decent wine selection. Service was good tho!

Grilled cheese is terrible. I was expecting a hot buttery cheesy sandwich which it was not. Mediocre mild shredded cheese And the lukewarm Campbell's tomato soup is terrible too. Ridiculous "gourmet".
