Large un-fenced dog park nestled within Stern Grove. Walk further west to loop around Pine lake.

Second to only to Fort Funston in terms of dog runs in SF. Not technically fenced in but steep, wooded hills cover the entire periphery, making it quite safe. Tons of space, responsible dog owners.

Not a fenced dog area, but nice nonetheless. Plenty of open grass areas to run the pup around, as long as you don't mind the screaming children from the summer camp.

awsome dog park. very big area for dogs to run around in. The day camp has started but you can still go on the trail that are on the hills.

I was told by a ranger that the reason dogs are required on leash to the west of the dog run is to prevent erosion on the hillsides.
