- Claire PedersenJanuary 26, 2015Just a lil' easy hike to the top and the views will exceed your expectations. Not as grand as Twin Peaks, but very very nice and a bit closer and easy to get to from the more neighborhoods.
- Simon TanMarch 2, 2016The climb up is hella steep, but worth it for the 360 degree view of San Francisco
- David RApril 2, 2017Great 360 view of SF after an easy hike. Gets windy so you may want to bring a sweater.
- Great place for a trail run. Run up to the top of the hill for beautiful views of the city, then run down all the way to the tennis courts at the southeast, and back up and around.
- Annie TangMarch 18, 2017Beats the view from twin peaks. For a little adventure, go up at night to see the city lights and stars
- Joanna FlammJanuary 18, 2015Do not be fooled: getting to this park involves a lot of climbing uphill. But the views are totally worth it.
- I wish late night visitors would be quiet. If you are walking up the path to the top & you can see any of the houses, then please shut up or whisper because we can hear you. Also the park is closed 10
- Ami H.November 7, 2018This hawk is BOSS. Swooped and hovered, like, 4 feet from our heads. Sweet raptor views from the peak.
- Jason PerezJanuary 27, 2014Awesome view of pretty much the whole city, minus behind Buena Vista. Views: downtown, Market St., 16th St., the Mission (and Dolores Park), Bernal Heights, Castro, Twin Peaks and Sutro Tower.
- John FongDecember 31, 2012From the Randall museum path at the park bench, there are 150 stairs to the sign post marker, as counted by my nephew. Actually 150 and a half if you cout the wood step that's level with the ground.
- As a woman who walks the dogs by herself, I love this park because there are no pockets of park sleepers, because there are no trees on the hill.
- Sun rise or set! Best scenic view with easy access in San Francisco.
- Scott KauppinenJuly 4, 2017Bring some drinks and enjoy the sunset, unfortunately was a foggy night when I went up
- Great for sunsets! The hike up is steep, but well worth it for the spectacular views.
- San Francisco City GuidesMarch 28, 2012Also known as Rock Hill, this was the site of the Gray Brothers quarry and brick factory. They had a reputation for shoddy work, not paying their workers, and injuries from falling rocks.
- Red dirt and craggy peak feels like desert. Stark beauty. Dogs rule this park.
- Aaron DraczynskiNovember 7, 2012Climb up the rocks at the summit and enjoy the picturesque view of the city and bay.
- Star SimpsonMarch 10, 2013Check out the wind flow sculpture just down the hill, on the front of the museum
- Blinded by the sun, blown away by the wind..#freetherapy #werunsf #exploresf
- Brittani Hughes-DavisJanuary 10, 2015The view is the best in tree he city. Also, Our Lady of Darkness.
- Camille RuvalcabaJune 13, 2013The best view in the city. And best place to watch the city's sunrise!
- Kyle MeyerNovember 28, 2013Less of a pain to get to and up than Twin Peaks Summit, great views. Hit it after brunch at Starbelly.
- Catriona HunterJanuary 3, 2013Absolutely stunning views of the city. A good spot to bring in the New Year too.
- On a warm windless night this place has the most amazing views of the City and Bay.
