Das 80m hohe Gebäude steht unter Denkmalschutz und wurde 1958-60 als Firmenzentrale für die AEG-Tochterfirma Telefunken gebaut. Nach der Fusion beider Unternehmen wurde es schließlich 1975 an den Berliner Senat verkauft. Heute sind die TU Berlin sowie die Deutsche Telekom Nutzerinnen des Gebäudes.
