Gajtana SimonovskaMay 19, 2016Most spacious and spread out of all the Trader Joe's I've been to in NYC. This is my fifth. More cashiers than other TJs so the line moved quickly on a Wednesday night.
If you come on a crowded day/time, know what you want because the entire top floor turns into the checkout line. Produce on top level, other things on bottom level.

Try to resist being those people where one waits in line and the other person rushes around to get stuff because it ruins the adventure.

Everything. Absolutely everything. Grab a basket, get what you need downstairs, and then get in line and shop as you wait! It's the best way to maximize your time.
The line always moves faster than you think. Start in the basement for frozen + pantry stuff, move upstairs for fresh. Don't abandon your cart in the line to shop for 3-5 minutes. Reach! Wish they could have a wine store at this location too!

Don't be a douche: return chilled food items to the chilled section. Don't just dump it in a random bin.
The most civilized T.J.'s in Manhattan hands down. Typically not crowded (nothing like 14th St.) & nice/helpful staff. The prices are great & nearly everything is quite good!
The most pleasant and helpful staff of any store I've ever been to in NYC, and I've been to a lot of stores in NYC. Kudos to the staff and management.

The chocolate covered peanut butter pretzel bites are dangerously good. So are most of their treats. Lines are always long, but move well.
Love Trader Joe's but this one gets so crowded. Really solid produce though. And so much cheaper than any other store.

This store is a daily shit show unless you come early in the morning before 12 or after 8pm, otherwise be prepared for chaos! There is even an occasional line outside to get in which is just insane!!
Get in the right-side line, and plan your shopping so that you pick up everything on the upper floors you pass in line.
First Trader Joe's experience and it was a goodie. The groceries were surprisingly cheap, didn't expect it at a store like this. The beer is also extremely cheap for Manhattan.

They keep the inside non-crazy by limiting the number of ppl who enter at a time. Seems insane that stuff like this happens on a regular Sunday, but that's manhattan for you.

Crunch GymOctober 28, 2010Cut you some flax. Try adding flaxseed or its oil to your meals. Trader's has it golden roasted, milled, whole, in cereal, in oatmeal. The health benefits are plentiful and the taste is yummy.
Don't worry about the line because it moves very quickly. But do take time to enjoy the artwork

Go before 1pm on the weekends to avoid bigger crowds, but bring your patience for crowds and pushy shoppers every time.
Trader Joes is a staple in NYC. Go during the weekday afternoon to avoid the normal craziness

They run out of kale pretty fast, but if you call in the morning and "reserve" it... They"ll hold it for you until the end of day. Kale: the popular green du jour.
