In a bold departure from juniper-heavy gin & tonics, the gintonic here combines Old Raj gin, which has a tinge of saffron, with house-made tonic, infused with oranges, thyme and bitter bay leaf. Read more

A must for tapas lovers. The steamed mussels will blow your socks away. Who would have thought mussels and chorizo are the ultimate combo. Jamón ibérico de cinco jotas is worth the premium price.

Plan ahead to avoid long waits at this super popular tapas spot. Make sure to get the roast corn during the warm months and the crispy brussel sprouts in the off season.

Cocktails are fantastic - expect to have to wait outside for 30 minutes or so, drive they don't take reservations unless you're party is 6 or larger. Worth the wait. Scallops are to die for.

Arrive by 6p if you don't have a reservation (and they only take reservations for 6+ after 6p) to beat the crowd. The chilled tomato gazpacho and hanger steak are excellent choices.

Escalivada sandwich so good we ordered it twice. Brussels sprouts and crispy cod close runner ups, plus the armpit sweet quince jam cheesecake, and elderflower mixed drinks! Pricey but incredible.

Excellent! But come with a heavy wallet and be prepared to spend. Everything meticulously prepared and seasoned. Loud. Small parties. Dinner only. No reservations.

IMO the best tapas in D.C. I've been several times but brunch is probably my favorite. GoTos include the smoked salmon bocadillo, chorizo hash, and slow roasted pork. Enjoy!

An ode to tapas in a chic, loftlike space. The roasted shishito peppers and the montadito (a Spanish open-faced sandwich) of duck and foie gras are menu highlights.

A seat at bar watching the prep is fun. But a warning: you will have a thin layer of cooking oil all over if you're too close! I enjoyed everything - just shouldn't have worn something dry clean only!

Go here for the phenomenal food, but drinks program is no slouch thanks to Adam Bernbach. Great g&t made w/ Old Raj gin + housemade tonic; saffron hints in Old Raj are good call for a Spanish place.

True to its name, this Spanish retreat in Logan Circle can be noisy as a "stadium" at full tilt. But good small plates and sherry cocktails are worth any ruckus.
