- A very longggg hawker centre. Approximately 106 stalls. Toilets in the middle, separating blocks 79 & 79A. POSB ATM at the start of Blk 79A
- Lor Mee. Soon Lee #01-07 dishes out a really tasty bowl. Clean sweet flavours. Enjoyed their traditional ingredients added. Nicer with a splash of vinegar
- Fishball noodles. Ho Jia Bo? 01-59 serves up a hot & decent bowl of fishball/minced pork noodles. Fishballs are big, succulent. Lady cook is friendly
- Fried Hokkien Mee. Really flavourful plate from Kim Hai #01-102. This $4 has 3 mid-sized prawns. Chilli packs a punch. Stall opens from 10am. Closes on alternate Wed
- Fried Hokkien Mee. Authentic Fried Hokkien Mee #01-82 (right) was wetter, more aromatic & flavourful, with punchier chilli paste — compared to Kim Hai #01-102. The waiting time is also longer 😂
- Traditional desserts #01-59. Enjoyed a bowl of mixed red & green bean soup ($1.70). It is cooked with orange peel, a nice aroma boiled into the soup
- Fried Hokkien Prawn noodles ($4). Dry style from Tian Seng #01-10. Salty by my standard. Served with 4 mid-small fresh prawns. No squid slices. Chef adds ‘la pok’ (fried pork lard cubes) upon serving
- Oyster omelette $8. Ghim Guan #01-60. Enjoyed the tasty chilli dip. Wish fried eggs were more aromatic. Oysters were not plump
- Shn JuayAugust 9, 2013#01-06/07 Song Kee fish ball noodle has the best noodle texture & Soon Lee lor mee is the best in Singapore (for me at least) so far~~
- Vegetarian dumplings stuffed with carrots & mushrooms. From Yu Long #01-85. Boiled ($7), fried ($8). Better for sharing as they can get quite bland after eating a few
- Chai tow kway (fried carrot cake, $4). Very egg-y serving from Hao Cai Delight #01-16. Aromatic
- Mee Goreng $4.50. Dry preparation from Rabia Muslim Food #01-96. Lacks flavour. Chopped cabbages, a random green, some potato slices & fried egg make up the ingredients
- Tracy LingJune 21, 2014Soon kee kitchen is always dependable for good, great tasting zi char dishes. Particular favourites are the butter prawns/calamari, petai and prawns and beef hor fun!
- Fried Kway Teow $3. Decent plate from Authentic Fried Hokkien Mee #01-82. Dry savoury style. No cockles but ate slices of fish cake & Chinese sausage. Lacks ‘wok hei’ (smokiness)
- This stall’s carrot cake is nice! Especially the white!! The chili is a MUST TRY! 👍
- Julius PolimJanuary 1, 2011Soon Lee Lor Mee, the lor mee is the best in singapore, really loves it. A must try, but the only minus is they do not want to separate the soup for take away :(
- Limited carpark spaces next to hawker centre. The ones opposite are reserved for residents after 7pm. There is an MSCP at Blk 31A, abt 5 mins walk away
- Deedee CSeptember 25, 2014Western food on stall 01-27 beside 28 BBQ has the best black pepper lambchop! 😍
- Vegetarian chicken chop ($8). Poor execution by popular Victor Veggie #01-92. Batter didn’t coat well around the mock meat. Baked beans were served cold. Saving grace was the black pepper sauce
- There’s a POSB ATM at the southern end of the hawker centre (Blk 79A). It also accepts cash deposits. UOB ATM is next to this
