Chicken rice: Came on wrong day. Rice was undercooked. Chicken meat (boiled) was dry. Chilli sauce had a good kick though! $3.80 a plate (unless u order other meats or hv an extra egg)
Good variety in this coffeeshop. Indian stall, ban mian noodle shop, affordable western food, famous Waterloo street chicken rice, reliable mixed rice, Yong tau fu all here!- Kolo Mee ($4.50). Lin Yu Mei #9 served basic noodles, ‘char siew’ (BBQ pork), marinated minced pork, topped with garlic oil. Forgettable, even after tossing them all with the sauce. Soup was bland

The chai png stall and bak chor mee stall are worth a mention.
Braised pork noodles from Jian Hua is super nice! Good hand made noodles with generous serving of pork :)
Famous Leong Kee chicken rice is a must-have here. Mee sua w a tinge of vinegar from the noodle store is also v yummy!

One of the nicest chicken rice around but be prepared for a long queue. The nasi padang is also wildly popular- Nasi Padang stall (Putri Hayyu) appears closed. Stall space up for rent
Malay rice is better quality and price than economy rice here.
