- Jess ThiaOctober 23, 2015Delicious Soft Food: Cantonese Fish Porridge. Fish meat cooked this way could be mashed by spoon easily to more tiny bits and mixed in the Cantonese-style porridge to eat / drink after tooth surgery.
- Yong tau foo. Ming Ming Yong Tau Fu #02-37 offers a wide selection of items. Soup base is tasty too. 40-cents per item, very affordable. Operated by elderly couple, stall sells rojak too :-)
- Kelley LauAugust 30, 2017Lei cha from lei da ma shop is good and reasonably priced ($4.50 for lei cha with brown rice). They sell meat items, so be sure to request for vegetarian if you wish to have a veg meal! :)
- Wantan mee. Popular M'sian style Yap Kee WTM shifted here fr Clementi. Good review by ieatishootiblog, stating that noodles specially sourced fr JB
- Mee siam. Probably the food centre's best kept secret. Surprised by serving from Auntie Lily #02-01. Gravy was thick & flavourful, with the right balance of sweet-sour. Generous egg slices for $2.50
- Nasi goreng ayam penyet. Feast on this upsized version from Aini Muslim Food #02-14. Fried chicken was very marinated with distinguishing yellow ginger aromas. $5.50 for this platter which can feed 2
- Fishball noodles: Locals zero in on Ru Ji Kitchen #02-28 when they want their tasty noodles, pungent chilli & bouncy fishballs. A tad too much MSG though :-( U can't miss d long q on weekends
- Hakka yong tau foo. The Hakka Noodle #02-15 served by stall with it's namesake is actually YTF. Fixed set of items
- Ice kacang. Enjoyed a bowl prepared by Hot & Cold Dessert #02-11. Not overly sweet with just the right amount of rose syrup. Generous ingredients incl ‘atap chee’. $1.80 per bowl
- Breakfast set. Lixin Drink Stall #02-22 serves a respectable set of strong local coffee (kopi) & crisp toast (with kaya & butter slice). $2.50 for 1 piece of toast, $3 for two
- TingNovember 9, 2014Blanco court kwaychap is better of the two stalls here, worth a try. Hakka Yongtaufu noodles and Malaysian wanton noodles are both pretty decent as well. Olive fried rice by vegetarian stall good too!
- Roasted meats. Affordable & tender char siew (BBQ pork) & sio bak (roasted pork) from Leong Wei #02-36. Their regulars order classic double-boiled soups as well
- Claypot rice. Our $25 pot from New Lucky Claypot Rice #02-18 was just nice for 4 adults. Rice had a nice crispy burnt layer. Chinese sausage & salted fish bits added authenticity 👍🏼
- Grated coconut from #01-42. $3 for 500g (slightly more than a coconut) with the brown skin — typically to extract coconut milk; $4 with skin removed, when used for more presentable kuehs 😊
- Vegetarian options: specialty vegetarian, prata, fried carrot cake, yong tau foo, chee cheong fun, thunder tea rice, rojak, buns, gado dado, baos, rice with veges
- Braised duck rice. Cheng Heng #02-05 serves dry, lifeless duck meat. It doesn't help impressions further that their soup is just a mix of kway chap broth & 'lor' (soy sauce stew) fr their main pot
- One of my fav breakfast: Vegetarian Bee Hoon at Zhen Ji Vegetarian 珍记斋 #02-26. Cheap, tasty and generous serving!
- Penang char kway teow (fried flat rice noodles). Surprised to find this style from an even unassuming stall name Sweet Bistro #02-24. Decent though not very authentic
- Chai tow kway. Very crumbly offering fr Traditional Carrot Cake #02-20. Didn't taste much of white radish or 'chai por'
- Laksa. Head for Noodle House #02-18. Previously called Lian Hua. Laksa base was tasty (a bit salty), with lots of dried shrimp texture. Ingredients could be more generous though :-P
- Hainanese curry rice. Aunty Lily #02-01 prepares home-style dishes. Pork chop is not the crispy style; lean. Enjoyed the mushy stewed cabbages
- Level 1 is the wet market, selling seafood, frozen pork, vegetables, fruits & dried goods. Found stalls selling spices & ornamental plants too
- Lo Chan Kee wanton noodle (广东云吞面)personally find that the noodle is abit "hard" unless u guys like chewy noodle .. Mushroom is a must n chicken feet 👍
- Lor Mee. Ji Li #02-34 prepares a comforting bowl. The 'lor' was smooth & tasty. Generous portions, including a whole egg for $3
- Handmade chee cheong fun stall is really smooth and yummy. Ruyi bak chor mee forever long queue for its tasty noodles.
- Kopi. Gave the same order to Lixin #02-22 (left) & Mei Xiang #02-06: kopi-O kosong 'di lok' (undiluted). Lixin's brew was thicker, more bitter & aromatic
- Nasi lemak. Shiok serving from Aini Muslim Food #02-14. Good value at $3 for this serving, including 3 pieces of fried ikan kuning. Chilli not overly sweet. Rice cd be more fragrant. Wd order again

- 3 parking areas around the market/food ctr: 2 along Holland Drv (before & after mkt), and the other one can be accessed from North Buona Vista Rd (in direction of Dover Rd)
- Yutiao (fried dough fritters). Ah Kiew Snack House #02-17 fries them fresh & light. Enjoyed it with a cup of kopi
- Prata. Good chewy prata from Shazain 02-10. Their default mutton curry is substantial too
- Vegetarian bee hoon. Enjoyed tasty and affordable servings from Zhen Ji Vegetarian #02-26
- Looking for powdered spices? Found a well-organised shop on level one. GV Spice House #01-17. Friendly folks too
- There's an established stall selling a wide variety of ornamental plants. Good value too
- Banana leaves. #01-46 sells pre-cut banana leaves, if u ever need some (eg. baking kuehs)
- Not a dinner spot. Almost all stalls closed except the claypot rice
- Long queues at Cheng Heng Kway Chap and Shima's Kitchen for lunch. Surprisingly, New Lucky Claypot Rice wasn't crowded at lunch hour.

- Yuan LiDecember 6, 2011The Leong Wei Roasted Delights, charsiew is nice but not as good as the one at Tiong Bahru Market. Roasted duck not bad but not significantly gd. Big plate like this is $3.50, Economical!!
- Duck rice from Leong Wei, braised or roasted, nice and cheap! But be prepared to queue.
