- Chilli pan mee ($4.50) from #01-35. Spicy chilli paste. Quality ‘ikan bilis’ (anchovies), yummy to bite into. Handmade meatball & ‘la pok’ (fried pork lard cubes) were aromatic
- Mi chiam kueh (Chinese pancake). The ones from Heng Li #01-36 are yummy. Batter is light, both in density & flavour, so sweet fillings feature well. I'm not a fan of their styrofoam serving plate tho

- Wantan mee. AMK 453 WTM #01-28 has long queues. I was unimpressed though. Maybe it was due to packing home. Char siew (BBQ pork) were well cooked though. Lots of tiny 'la pok' (fried pork lard cubes)
- Mee Siam. Thick gravy from House of Li Xiang #01-17. If u enjoy this dish sour, ask for extra lime; 1 is not enough 😬
- Yong tau foo. Ah Xiang YTF #01-03 serves quite a variety of items. Affordable too @ 40 cents per piece. Chilli sauce could do with more character or punch though
- Vegetarian bee hoon. Average fare from Vegetarian Delight #01-14. Mostly processed gluten products, instead of freshly-cooked vegetables & leafy offerings
- J TNovember 2, 2016Anthony the Spice Maker....great shopping to get spices to prepare your favourite local dishes
