ScoutmobNovember 29, 2011Locals once nicknamed the Ballard neighborhood "Snoose Junction," a reference to the Scandinavian settlers' practice of using snus (Swedish snuff).
Ballard Coffee Works has "frosted lattes" aka vanilla milkshake with espresso. Need I say more?
Great neighborhood to live in. Everything is within walking distance.
The hipster spillover from Fremont doesn't seem to bother the locals, as long as they stick to crawling up and down Ballard ave.
