Designed by Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Williams and built in 1806. The star-shaped walls of the fort were inspired by those built by the French military. It was designated a City landmark in 1967.

Be sure to find the magazine - ammunition storage on the Manhattan side of the fort. Very cool space.
