At the rear of the palace is the large garden, which together with its lake is the largest private garden in London, Here the Queen hosts her annual garden parties each summer.

Beautiful palace but make sure you look up whether changing of the guards is happening each day because we went there to hear that there was no event 😢

Great place from which to watch changing of the guard. Don't climb on the gates as you will be told to get down.

Quite fantastic but underwhelming... thought the guards would be closer to the gate or there would be some activity (like cars coming in/out or just guards walking between their posts or something)!!

The place is crowded by people! Just watching out here. Good to pass by, they see officials passing by, very governmental area. Good to photography.

Large gate i might add, but if you want up close pictures of the guard changing go across the street to the mews where they march and stake out the corner. i got upclose pictures

To make the best of it, make sure you check the schedule for the change of the guard. It's quite a spectacle.

It’s not the most exciting place in the world, you’d probably only want to come for the changing of the guard and even then maybe it’s not really amazing
