- Markus TarjamoNovember 20, 2015A fantastic trail to walk and bike on. A very nice way to get to Rosslyn from Alexandria. Wonderful views of the Potomac for most of it. Passes DCA and near several Metro stations.
- Lipton Iced TeaJune 29, 2011Not only does the trail have fantastic views as you bike along the Potomac River; on your way back stop by Gravelly Point to get a pretty view of the airplanes taking off from Reagan National Airport.
- Keith FJuly 19, 2014It gets tricky when hitting Olde Town Alexandria. I recommend taking Royal vs. Union to avoid the bar crowds.
- Laura CovingtonMay 23, 201217 miles of amazing running. best spots are just north of mt. vernon and between the key and memorial bridges. watch out for aggressive bikers, stupid bikers, and kids watching airplanes land.
- Prepare yourself for the incline approaching the Alexandria Ave bridge (southbound). It doesn't look like much but it's a killer.
- The southern portion from Old Town to the estate is the best, but beware of aggressive cyclists and tourists.
- JesseJuly 2, 2013When preparing parmesan crisps, always use parchment paper on the baking sheet. The crisp will bind to wax paper.
- Kimberly PSeptember 3, 2011Crowded @ 7:30 on Saturday morning. Trail from Boat Club to Gravelly Point at lot hiller than from Roosevelt Island out.
- Becky CaseyApril 30, 2013Great for walking or jogging, but way too crowded for bicycling at any decent speed.
- Signal if you're on a bike. Or some runners might try to knock you off.
