- HubScoutJune 14, 2012If you love sushi, you've likely tried everything...so Teak Wood's Mexican Roll, complete with even jalapeno peppers, is a welcome surprise. However, absolutely everything we ordered was excellent.
- Michael CoxApril 18, 2015Great place. Surprising that the Thai and the sushi are both excellent and on par. Definitely try one of the special rolls and the spring roll.
- Mike ReidDecember 10, 2012The Seafood Fried Rice and Drunken Noodle dishes were VERY nicely prepared. I could see how clean and fresh the ingredients used were. Goes on my thai food go to list from hence forth.
- This place has great sushi, our favorite sushi place in DC after 3+ years and 10+ places. Try the sushi!
- Try the Pad Ginger with Chicken. Tender white meat chicken with plenty of ginger makes it delicious!
- The panang tofu is quite good, and the place is spacious and rarely crowded, so it’s a solid pick if you don’t have a reservation and don’t want to wait forever for a table elsewhere on 14th.
- Damron ClevelandSeptember 24, 2012The wet and wild curry was great. Ask for extra sauce! If you order the bake roll from the sushi list be prepared...it's really good, but piping, hot and it falls apart.
- Yes, they have sushi. Go for the Thai anyway. Both are delicious, but the Thai is hands down since of the best in the city.
- Great food, beautiful seating, good service. Get the Larb Gai as a starter and the Drunken Noodles for the entree. You will NOT be disappointed here! New Favorite Thai Place!
- Roger DashSeptember 4, 2012The gang massaman curry is a great blend of sweet and crunchy. Not too sweet, but just the right amount. I enjoy this.
- KrisSeptember 16, 2013Atmosphere at night is breathtaking. Except when they play pop music. Aside from that, great!
- DianaSeptember 24, 2012The seafood teak wood was amazing. Very spicy, so ask them to tame it down for you if you're not a fan of the heat.
- Meg BiallasSeptember 18, 2013Drunken noodles = amazing! Very spicy. Lunch special is good, not oversized portion either.
- AskMenOctober 7, 2010Teak Wood can offer you both Japanese sushi & Thai dishes. The toro tuna is the real deal here, fresh, fatty & impossible to resist.
- Sushi is very good. Wine prices are a tad high. Lighting is too bright for a medium to expensive dinner. Hopefully they will work out the kink cu the sushi is very good.
- P BSeptember 1, 2012Sushi is good, excellent flavor. Service is abominable, though. Expect to call your waiter a lot.
- Kalynn C.April 4, 2012Excellent food all around. Very fresh. Drunken noodle and basil fried rice r great!
- As a former sushi chef, I am very particular about the sushi I eat. This is hands down the BEST sushi in DC!!!
- Stick with the sushi rolls, ignore the rest. The Mexican is my favorite.
- Anthony D PaulOctober 15, 2010Tried drunken noodle. Pretty good, but for being spiciest item on menu, not nearly spicy enough. Thaitanic, Thai Chef and Thaiphoon all much spicier.
- Dan BureauOctober 18, 2010Great sticky rice with mango. Sushi very good- didn't think the best like some others. Very good!
- The food is tasty and the service is friendly. Try the Pad Eggplant!
- great food and reasonably priced; overwhelming atmosphere.
- Ashley DavidsonFebruary 1, 2014Why is the cocktail list 97% vodka? And they totally skipped on the rice for the nigiri. :(
- Brian GluckmanOctober 3, 2012Pay cash: the last time we ate here, the waiter stole my credit card number.
- Czara LoveOctober 12, 2010Seems Saturdays are the only night with decent service. My entree came out an hour earlier than my friends' sushi. Service was subpar and manager was nonchalant and said sushi was slow that night...
- Lights have been dimmed and atmosphere is much better.
