Nice views and amenities. It's in a good part of a city where you can walk to all the nice sights — unfortunately the rooms don't have fridges and the bathrooms don'f have fans.
Rooms are a bit dated but the views to the river/lake/city make up for it! Big fitness center and great location! Great for business trips.

Big hotel. Really big. Do expect to be crowded especially on weekends. Parking is expensive but the self park option at 45 bucks is worth it for the area cause u can leave and renter w/o charge.
Newly renovated rooms. Staff is friendly and always greets you with a smile. Riverfront access. Club lounge is great. Only downside is it faces the worst building in Chicago..... Trump Tower

Ask for a corner room with a lake view. It's gorgeous. Overall hotel is very nice except for bathrooms & shampoo the hotel is awesome. It's clean & nicely renovated with a very friendly staff.

I don't recommend being here Xmas time as it is extremely busy but u def want to be sure u get presidential access. Free drinks and snacks and view is amazing!

RyanOctober 7, 2014Somewhat confusing place to have a big conference because of all the floor hopping. But very pleasant views and good service.
River view is what to ask for. Only free wifi in lobby. Do not be fooled as 8th floor is the first floor of rooms.
Don't touch the right handle going down on the escalator from the lobby as you will get an electric shock. I told the conferencier but seem as if he already knew. He promised to let somebody know :-(
Beds so comfy you don't want to get up in the morning. But the in-room Starbucks coffee and Tazo teas are motivating ☕️ 😋

Ask for a river view room. Way better than city view (w vacant lot next door).

Nicole EngelFebruary 21, 201314 dollars for Internet access is a bit steep. It's free in most hotels. Also for a 4 star hotel I wish I couldn't hear neighbors using their bathroom.
Walk straight out of the hotel and take a left. Walk a block to Fox and Obel to enjoy a nice breakfast or lunch.

Room 1855 is huge, and has a great view of the river too.
Location is very good but as has been mentioned it's quite outdated and its also a little ghetto. Staff range from cold to disrespectful. There are so many other great choices in town, why bother?

Do not stay at this hotel. The rooms are nice but it has the worst WiFi I have ever seen and I travel for a living. The connection is slow, unstable and keeps cutting off. The staff don’t care.
Robert the concierge recommended Quay Restaurant on Illinois is phenomenal.
- One of the servers in the concierge is insanely loud. Why does he like fist bumps and the sportscenter song so much too? A bit annoying.
Best lounge I've seen at a Starwood property in a while!!
