Spanking new and cooler after the renovations. Still wonder who's the idiot that designs holes on the roof of the outer dining areas as they are rendered useless, rain or shine 😑

Yummy chai tow kway (fried carrot cake) from 华记菜头粿 Carrot Cake #01-52 (albeit using quite a bit of MSG). Don't be deceived by lack of queue; waiting time on weekends is 15mins

Hainanese curry rice. Victory #01-40 is affordable. While a friend had recommended the stall, I didn't taste anything I'd come back for. Curry was overly 'lemak' (creamy); pork chop was thick & limp

Claypot rice. Hole-in-wall 01-18 sees a constant stream of regulars & fans. I was pleased with the layer of cabbage over the dish & the aromatic salted fish. Chilli sauce packs a punch!

Chilli ban mian. Unimpressed with Hui Wei Chilli Ban Mian #01-58. Unlike KL-style chilli ban mian, the paste gives chilli-heads a good kick, but overwhelms the bowl. Too much black sauce, too sweet
