- Michael CoderreJuly 29, 2013Great way to make your way into DC on a bike - trail runs parallel to the bridge. You can take stairs down to Ohio Drive to access the National Mall.
- As you cross the Potomac River approaching DC, look left! Awesome view of Washington and Jefferson Memorial.
- Walk or bike between DC & Crystal City. It's scenic (monuments) and short.
- Bill CAugust 6, 2013Very scenic. Great views, especially when sitting idle for extended time during morning commute. A DC must-see!!
- Nice view of the Tidal Basin. The best view is during the Cherry Blossom season!
- Utilize break down lanes to quickly get to the bridge, and once on it, be in one of the far left lanes, else be stuck there for the entire morning.
- HOV lanes open to all traffic all the time. Non-HOV southbound exit after the bridge between 3:30-6:00 pm mon-fri to avoid a ticket. Take northbound HOV to avoid bridge construction on non-HOV lanes.
- Patience is your friend... at least you have time to admire the view of either the Nation's Capital, or the planes landing at Reagan
- Sucks to be going into DC in the mornings and around lunch time.. Planes overhead makes it pretty cool tho..
- Steve FrederiksenMarch 13, 2013Bikers, please use a bell when passing pedestrians. We can't hear your mumbled "On your left" over the traffic.
