Bak chor mee. 美生粿條面 01-37 serves bak chor mee (minced meat noodles) with fishballs. Generous ingredients, clean tastes. A favourite among residents judging by its daily queues
- Lai Lai Heng 01-14 sells a noodle "3-in-1". Braised chicken feet, braised chicken wing, & pork ribs. Or u want the full works with wantans & char siew (BBQ pork), order their Signature Noodle
33Vegetarian specialise in chicken dishes. Try their Steamed Chicken Rice and Roasted Chicken Rice! As owners used to eat meat, their veggie creations tasted just like the actual stuff.
- Char kway teow ($4). Good ‘wok hei’ (smokiness) fr Bendemeer Fresh Cockles Fried Kway Teow #01-13. Savoury & moist. Lots of egg, taugeh. Small cockles. Ate a slice Chinese sausage & 1 pc of ‘la pok’
- Chai tow kway (fried carrot cake). Average fare from Long Kee #01-19. Only white version available. Light soy sauce, minimal chai por (chopped fermented radish), but eggs a-plentiful
- Vegetarian options: speciality vegetarian, fried carrot cake, fruits, lontong, local snacks & desserts, beancurd, mushroom veg noodles, yam cake, rice kueh, soon kueh, yong tau foo, bread & pastry
- San Yuan 01-02 Signature Dried Mee Sua is nothing to shout about. Basically bak chor mee (minced meat noodles) using mee sua (salted noodles), with a sprinkle of fried ikan bilis (small anchovies)

They chopped seats for the whole morning and deprive others from having a seat.- Mee rebus. Subdued yet tasty sauce from Muslim Food #01-39. $3 for this (noodles, hard-boiled eggs, taugeh, special sauce)
There are 2 popular fish soup stalls here... Long Xing (#01-04) & Han Jiang (#01-15) respectively. Fish soup from both stalls are good but i personally prefer Han Jiang.- Duck rice. Quick-moving queue at Leng Kee #01-12. Braised duck meat was tender but plain, made up for with their tasty chilli sauce. Soup was herbal but salty. Another stall w no yam in their yam rice
- Fried Hokkien Mee. I enjoyed a very wet style from Eng Ho #01-34. Tasty! Stall sells from 4pm till midnight, closes on Tue
- Roast meats. Affordable but boring serving from 香記鷄飯 #01-11. This plate of mixed char siew-sio bak $3.50. Nothing outstanding abt the roasts. Served with soup
- Local kopi. Although Rui Feng #01-38 makes a thicker brew, San Teck #01-23 serves a more fragrant cuppa.
Ying LimAugust 30, 2015The fish soups stalls both facing the HDB blocks/roads are fresh and tasty. Both are equally busy. Char Kway Teow is one of my favourite too.- Fishball noodles. Enjoyed the fishball & chilli paste from 茗香鱼圆面 #01-06. Noodles were 'q' (springy) too

- Vegetarian chicken rice. 33 Vegetarian Food #01-33 specialises in the plant-based version of this national dish. While it looks convincing, don't expect it to tastes like the real thing. Unimpressed

Dessert stall 通发 is manned by one old ah ma. Nostalgic desserts!
Alvin NivlaNovember 21, 2010Best teochew bak chor mee, chinese mee rubus, malay food stall and chicken feet noodle in the morning, evening time come for the famous hokkien mee, teochew porridge and fish head steamboat!- Tong Fong Fatt chicken rice is good! They don't smash the chicken to make it look bigger and tender.
- Lots of good food here. Must try sliced fish soup, western, eng ho hokkien mee, hainan chicken rice, satay n BBQ wings.
- Soya milk. Wished 28 Soya #01-28 could be thicker and aromatic

The prawn Nee at the corner unit near Posb ATM machine is horrible! I found 2 strands of black hair inside the soup! I feel like vomiting! Ya very unhygienic to find black hair inside the soup!

One of my morning coffee place is at 三德 Coffee Stall. Love the way the old lady talk to me rudely, then turn and sing out my order in a sweet voice.

- The Oyster shop here, the Oyster is stale.. The woman also very rude. I order $4 the portion here very small. Very Oily also. Not worth the money at all.

the sesame chicken @ ming huey is worth eating, be it individual or sharing.

Disappointing fish steamboat from #01-01. Mostly are vegetables and its $32 with 4 bowl of rice.
