Soya milk. Sampled both Kaka #01-01 & Whampoa Soya Bean #01-19. Both had the natural aroma & were good quality, with Whampoa being a slightly thicker drink
Fried carrot cake black/white at #01-45! Come early for breakfast, sold out by 1030 am. Generous with the eggs and radish, and fried vigorously by the uncle. 👍
- Dong Po Braised Pork from #01-08. Honest basic flavours. Hints of spice & garlic braise. Pork & fat cooked till melt-in-mouth style. Enjoyed the thick sauce with rice

- Braised duck noodle. Enjoyed my bowl from Ban Lee Heng 萬利兴鸭面•饭 01-33. Clean flavours. Well-braised meat. Punchy chilli sauce

Dong po pork belly and spicy chicken curry from the stall on the outside facing the bank, very good and value for money.- Fishball noodles. Popular stall Teochew Fishball (island-wide chain by Lee Kwang Kee) does not disappoint. Tasty soup, big fishballs, variety
- Satay bee-hoon. Refined style from Clementi Hong Kee #01-35. Sauce was so finely ground, I could not taste any peanut. Squid was also cooked till soft & tender

Why nobody comment about the you tiao stall next to the Boon Kee wanton noodles? The butterfly bun is superb and same goes to the you tiao. Ppl always have to queue for YT in the morning. Must try. =D- Lor Mee. Kian Seng #01-28 sees queues daily. Nothing outstanding as a bowl, just your average tasty noodles
- Porridge. Soon Lee #01-50 is a popular stall. Expect to wait 20-30 mins during peak meal times & weekends
- Basic vegetarian bee hoon. Ji Xiang #01-44 is operated by an elderly couple. $3 for this plate
- Prata. Decent preparation from Sayed Aminah Muslim Food #01-02. Dough was not overly chewy. Dalcha may look harmless but packs a light heat

Juits HDecember 4, 201320 mins wait for the famous porridge store. It doesn't mean that there is no queue visually of people; it comes in a queue of stacked labelled bowls!
Recommeded makans: 文記 wanton noodle, fried hokkien mee, western food, pork porridge, Hainan economic rice, curry puff, satay, claypot curry chicken & Yong tau hu!
Popular stalls are the tanglin halt western food and soon lee porridge. Duck rice is not too bad too.
One of the best Pontian Wanton Mee. Ask for Chilli & Tomato sauce, without the black sauce. That is the authentic Pontian Wanton Mee!- Ever seen a whole groundnut plant. Found this from the wet market section
- Fried carrot cake 01-45 has lost the plot. My serving was mushy & limp. Not queuing up anymore for such inconsistency

My vote goes to the porridge stall. Add an egg, it doesn't cost a lot more.
Most Satay Bee Hoon taste the same but what makes Hong Kee #01-35 stands out is the varieties of ingredients used...

Bedok Chwee Kueh! #01-32 old fav. Aunty can get naggy. Just smile. They are fast workers. Seldom need to q for long

Pontian wanton mee u wanna wanna reconsider before eating in... Cuz the soup bowl are prepared before hand and flies are resting in the bowl

The best coffee stall is Hup Heng, next to the infamous hainanese curry rice stall
