- Satay bee-hoon. Refined style from Clementi Hong Kee #01-35. Sauce was so finely ground, I could not taste any peanut. Squid was also cooked till soft & tender

- Why nobody comment about the you tiao stall next to the Boon Kee wanton noodles? The butterfly bun is superb and same goes to the you tiao. Ppl always have to queue for YT in the morning. Must try. =D
- Lor Mee. Kian Seng #01-28 sees queues daily. Nothing outstanding as a bowl, just your average tasty noodles
- Porridge. Soon Lee #01-50 is a popular stall. Expect to wait 20-30 mins during peak meal times & weekends
- Basic vegetarian bee hoon. Ji Xiang #01-44 is operated by an elderly couple. $3 for this plate
- Prata. Decent preparation from Sayed Aminah Muslim Food #01-02. Dough was not overly chewy. Dalcha may look harmless but packs a light heat

- Recommeded makans: 文記 wanton noodle, fried hokkien mee, western food, pork porridge, Hainan economic rice, curry puff, satay, claypot curry chicken & Yong tau hu!
- Popular stalls are the tanglin halt western food and soon lee porridge. Duck rice is not too bad too.
- One of the best Pontian Wanton Mee. Ask for Chilli & Tomato sauce, without the black sauce. That is the authentic Pontian Wanton Mee!

- Fried carrot cake 01-45 has lost the plot. My serving was mushy & limp. Not queuing up anymore for such inconsistency

- Most Satay Bee Hoon taste the same but what makes Hong Kee #01-35 stands out is the varieties of ingredients used...

- Bedok Chwee Kueh! #01-32 old fav. Aunty can get naggy. Just smile. They are fast workers. Seldom need to q for long
- The fish soup is good. They give lots of ingredients although it is $3.50. You must try their otah too!
