- Honghui YuJuly 25, 2017One of the only Hong Kong style cafes in the city, this place offers super cheap breakfast deals before 11 am. The regular menu can be overwhelming in its choices but noodles are my go-to.
- Janet M.September 21, 2013Finally got a chance to try this place since there wasn't much of a wait tonight. The food was okay, but the special HK style milk tea stole the show. Highly recommend trying it if you're in the area.
- Baked Portuguese chicken over rice is the truth. Also, their breakfast specials are excellent (and $7 and under for a full meal)
- Untapped CitiesJuly 27, 2012You'll find our favorite red bean bubble tea in town here. Subtly sweet with a slightly bitter kick, it's a great "gateway drink" into some of the more interesting teas Chinatown has to offer. Read more
- Gizem AskerJanuary 28, 2019We tried fried noodle, shark soup, and rice&beef. It was all delicious, even shark soup. The staff can be more friendly.
- Lori LuoMay 14, 2015Hong Kong-style dishes can be found at Cha Chan Tang, which include a variety of baked casseroles, pastas, and HK-style Come early to avoid the waits.
- Tip for non Asians, do not use chopsticks to eat rice. They are not sticky rice. And it's a Hong Kong style restaurant, you use spoon+fork to eat.
- Cheap Hong Kong-style breakfast! All items under $5 and comes with the best Hong Kong style-milk tea in Chinatown.
- Come here for breakfast, served until 11am daily. The best thing on the menu is the beef satay with instant ramen.
- PepeJune 30, 2016Cold grean tea with milk... Increíble!! Pepito: Cold apple green tea. Fried spagetti with shreded tenderloin and black pepper (pedirlo con udon en vez de spagetti) - buenisimo!!
- Get the pork and tofu over rice dish. You get really delish pork belly in a brown sauce and the tofu is fire roasted. Not many people know about this dish!
- Andrew ShumOctober 24, 2014Authentic HK style breakfast. Best thing on the menu is their Hong Kong style iced milk tea which comes in an ice bucket.
- Different vibe from most other places in Chinatown; very rice- and sauce-heavy dishes. Would stay away from the appetizers and the expensive entrees, and just get a rice dish.
- A good place for breakfast & snacks with confortable seating (and unconventional decor). If they can't see you're waiting to be served - raise and wave your hand. It helps a lot.
- Rob JuckettMarch 20, 2015Really good Hong Kong style milk tea, relatively slow service. Usually pretty crowded but it is worth it if you like Hong Kong food
- Peng YouDecember 26, 2011Food is good and cheap with large portion ! Everything we tried is tasty even the drinks ! A nice place for simple and quick lunch especially .
- If you're feeling particularly Hongkonger, get the *hot* lemon Coke. Perfect on a cold day.
- Surprise! If you're sitting in the booths at the back, the side of your table is actually a secret drawer filled with knives, forks, chopsticks and napkins.
- Ailie ChangMarch 16, 2015Hot almond milk tea is so soothing during the winter. Wish this place was closer to my house.
- Milk tea bubble tea and fried instant noodles with spam are both so good
- The best HK casual food so far, right vibe with the right foods. HK special thick toast is super yummy!!
- Solid milk tea, relatively late hours, and an amazing breakfast special.
- Get any of their baked dishes. Literally any. They're all good !
- Lee SimpsonAugust 17, 2016The fish balls in curry sauce and baked pork chop are pretty good - in fact, everything is good.
- Get the Hong Kong style tea and fried bun with condensed milk snack. Perfect afternoon tea set.
- Show up before 11am to get the breakfast deal! Set A is two of three dishes with a beverage for $3.75. I didn't finish mine...
- SuYeone JeonNovember 13, 2016Cheap Cantonese place. Food is edible but not the best in Chinatown. Milk tea in a bottle is great though! Cash only.
- TomSeptember 17, 2014Decent Hong Kong Cafe food, but crappy services. The servers always seem like they are forced to be there and are endlessly passed off.
- Yifu LuJuly 19, 2015Absurd service attitude. Absolutely nonsense. Staffs are arrogant, the guy who send dishes to table simple don't talk to guests, ignore any normal quest by pointing to other staff without any word.
- Closest to authentic Hong Kong food you'll find in New York.
- D TMarch 16, 2013The food is delicious, but they got a C rating, which means the failed lots of safety protocols during inspection. Enjoy at your own risk.
- Gordon MeiJune 14, 2014There's a simulation of a live Hong Kong street in a series of flat screens encased in window frames.
- John DongJune 3, 2013Oh our yet another HK style Milk Tea adventure.. Results: it's bitter and not up to par with the other bakeries.
- The staff and the service is horrendous. Waited for 20 minutes until our waitress finally took our order, and she gave us an attitude because I had to literally call her to come help us.
- christopher poonJuly 25, 2013The milk tea is awesome, especially when they serve the milk tea in a special bottle.
