Isolated, semi-neglected, and slightly derelict -- which is a pity, because this park and running/biking path on the East River below the UN should be a gem of city living.
Great waterfront running and biking, but just be careful - there are certain points of the path that are more narrow than others. Can cause a bit of a traffic jam!
Beautiful sunrise, and amazing evening sky views. It's a real shame that the local administration neglects this park completely. It's seems unsafe and dingy and is not maintained well.
Love running along the east river especially on Saturdays. I start from the 120th entrance and jog all the way to the South Seaport Pier or when I have enough energy, I connect to the Hudson river
