- I love this place. Douchebag-free dance floor, young crowd, and great music -- the kind you "groove" to. Fridays is 100% oldies but Saturdays is a good mix of classics and modern.
- After much internal debate, I'm ready to say publicly this is my favorite bar in NYC. Everything about it is perfect. Divey, cozy, dancey when needed, late happy hour, great music, prices & staff.
- Annie EllertsenJune 29, 2014Amazing music! I literally never heard any of the songs before, all up-beat 50s old school. I want to pick through the DJ's collection! Wear sneakers or flats to dance...uneven concrete cellar floor.
- Awesome whatever no rules dance party go to spot. Some of the DJs need a lesson in mixing but at least they play the jams.
- Afi Yellow-DukeNovember 21, 2015the staff is awesome, the drinks are reasonably priced, and they spin old school music until late! shout out to the trio playing tag on the dance floor, but beware of very aggressive creeps!
- DoubleDeuceAugust 3, 2021Their happy hour goes very late into the evening because no one comes in here until later at night. Great deals and your own dance floor!
- Gilt CitySeptember 19, 2011Full of knickknacks (and one arresting disembodied horse head), this underground dance club is filled with students and after-work hipsters looking to hit the dance floor and let loose.
- BlackBook MagazineDecember 14, 2012This taxidermy-decorated bar flaunts a mixed crowd (there are occasionally bankers & clubbers here), which means hipsters cling to other like-minded hipsters and make out on the stuffed mongoose. Read more
- Tara A.September 12, 2013Next door to the gated, locked door marked 131 there is a gaping hole in the wall w/ stairs. Congrats, you've found your crazy uncle's cabin hideaway. $3 drafts/wells 'til 8, M-Sat. Cover on wkends.
- Chris EvansAugust 9, 2014Music is surprisingly good. Definitely on the more divey side, although doesn't cross into grungy. Also check out the bobcat taxidermy.

- Ellie RJuly 31, 2016Every song was ON POINT! Great jams, crowd, dive vibe. Shhh don't spoil the secret and ruin it!!
- I love this place, but the happy hour friday bartender needs to pick better music to play that makes people want to have fun and not die!
- Alan Lester DumpitNovember 4, 2012Takes you out of new york and into the woods, i feel like i walked into a cabin in the south. Love it. Hipsters and occasional hip hop= awkard dance battles
- Village VoiceNovember 11, 2011Winner of Best Dance Floor in the Village Voice 2011 Best Of issue! Haul yourself out on Mondays for The Good Kids DJs.
- Jesse BagelsFebruary 2, 2016$5 weekend cover but I went on a Friday and it was all 50s rock n roll (did the twist all night)
- There's a bartender that looks identical to Silent Bob and he makes some of the best drinks in NYC. Don't trip over a stuffed eagle or fox while you dance in the back ....
- Alex RobertsonJanuary 18, 2023Place is bizarre. Open mic coming in hit with the anti-Biden material—but kind of a good time and efficiently run
- Madm FiaNovember 28, 2015Fun music for dancing and decent priced drinks for that area. Gets crowded fast, however.
- Kento Takahashi MoritaMay 22, 2012Amazinh place to dance and socialize. Wait until the bartender is done with whatever he is doing if you want to talk to him. Otherwise he will yell some bad words at your face!
- Winston S.March 29, 2014Music was very loud. Several hours later can still notice the effect on my ears. Saw some dancers with ear plugs. I would recommend the same if you're going.
- ThkFce BlkHrtMarch 23, 2010This is a great little spot. Taxidermy theme. Pretty good music and atmosphere. Dark and Moody , but the music is pretty much funk, soul and disco. They are doing something right...+not a bad crowd. Read more
- Renae MasonDecember 17, 2015Came here to dance! The New York Night Train evening is great fun, old funk & soul tunes.
- Brad KleinApril 22, 2016This is the place BigBad opened up after he couldn't blow down 3rd little pig's.

- Timothy JApril 29, 2013uneven dance floor makes the smiley face sad on the vent located above the couch. :| however this could just be a side effect of the heavy handed bartender's drinks.
- Manzin EtcDecember 11, 2011$25 minimum on credit cards, rum and coke will run about $6. No door on men's room stall. Absolutely deafeningly loud. Love the decor, though.
- Georgina O.August 31, 2012Cool if you like to drink with underage kids who spill their drinks on you. And bartenders who stare you in your thirsty face
- Come with no expectations, buck up the $5 cover charge, drink among taxidermy, and boogie down with the hipsters like it's no tomorrow.
- Erik JohnsenDecember 4, 2011If you don't mind waiting in line, and paying 5 dollars for a his light, this is the place for you
- Madalena PhillipsDecember 18, 2010Taxidermy-Oh-My! Drink until the decor become slightly bearable. Doubles. Then dance so everything becomes a blur. Fun times!
- Asia BoostaniNovember 28, 2011Sometimes u wanna go where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad u came!
- Erin DeathJuly 18, 2011One of my favorite random dancey sketch bars. Not saying there is anything wrong with that.
